All,

Kande was released from the hospital last night. She came home and was very happy to be here.

Unfortunately, she had a bad night sleeping on our flat bed. She only got about 4 hours sleep, and you need much more than that when recovering from a major surgery. Fortunately, her parents dropped off a recliner for her to sleep in until her abdomen is healed enough to where she can sleep on a flat bed.

So, the healing has started at home. I am a very happy guy right now!

Thank you for your prayers and thoughts!
Matt

More prayers are coming. But I'm sure with the amount of love you're giving her, she'll be well protected and will be healed in no time.

i don't know what the surgery was for, but it does sound like it has been fixed.

sleep will take time. catch a nap here and there. at some point the body will catch up.

i have spent the last week in a recliner also.

if you do christmas, go get the first tree you can find and decorate it for her immediately

Hang in there Matt & Kande!

And keep us posted!!!

I know that a cesarean section and your surgeries probably don't totally compare, but I've had 2 c-sections...and pillows were my best friends during recovery!

I would put them under my knees to aleviate the strain on my back and abdomen while in bed...

Also, on either side of me to 'prop' me up...

And then, one (a light one) across my belly to brace myself when I had to cough or sneeze...or God forbid someone mad me laugh!

Best wishes again and keep your chins up!

Marla
