Just tossing an out an invite (Charles, Rudy, etc..) to anyone in So. Cal who wants to join us for a drink tonight. STriplett and myself are going to Fox Sports Bar at Irvine Spectrum for some drinks and smoke after work. Pretty cool place - huge bar with monster flat screens. Upstairs they have a glass enclosed smoking room thats cigar friendly and sits above the bar area. Makes for a very nice cat bird seat to watch the Lakers and scope out the talent. Stu and I will be the two tall white guys making passes at the waitress. We'll be there around 6'ish. If you're in the neighborhood come on by, introduce, and I'll buy you a drink.

I used to go to that plaza years ago when I traveled. Is there a Hemingway themed bar there?

Mr T,

There used to be a place called Sloppy Joe's that was Hemingway themed. It closed about a year ago and recently opened as something else.

The Fox Sports grill just opened on the other end and is a great place to get a bite to eat and enjoy a smoke.

Unfortunately I cannot make it tonight. Wife's night out with the girls.

Thats it!
Sloppy Joes.
I used to hate getting off work, going there to watch a baseball game at 7, and seeing all the final scores. Dang west coast timezone.

I remember seeing "Everest" at the Imax theater there on opening night. A year later, I went to a speaking engagement here in Atlanta by Dr. Beck Weathers. It was an incredible story, from a great speaker.
