The Kansas City Chiefs got the worst possible JuJu this week, as they are the dreaded cover subject of Sports Illustrated! They play the Bengals this week and should win, but with the jinx of SI, who knows?

Money?

Does that taste better?

All these years I've been using cream cheese, butter and the occasional lox...hmmmmmm, I'll have to try that!

Watch for Dante Hall to break one against the Bungles this week. This would provide quite a thrill for the Cincinatti fans to see a long return for a touchdown.

DMV ... try topping pastrami and swiss with grated cabbage (raw packaged stuff works good) and Russian dressing on a pumpernickle bagel ... you'll thank me for the idea.

Damn Atkins! I haven't had a bagel in 6 months,I may just have to cheat again this weekend...LOL

Now as for the Chiefs. We'll win yet another one curse or no curse.I honestly don't see anybody on the schedule outside Denver or Minesota who can beat this team, unless they manage to beat themselves.

The spread for sundays game is the Chiefs are 6.5 point Favs.Anybody wanna put a couple medium priced sticks on the game? Chiefs gotta win by 7. Hmmmmmmm?

FWIW, I am in a pool with no spreads, just pick the winners and rank them with confidence. I picked the cheifs to lose straight up this week.

I am offended by your Bengal comments! I have been a die hard fan all of my life and we haven't always been terrible. It only happened since the legendary Paul Brown died, and even then we went to the Super Bowl twice (more than some teams). Once Mike Brown backed out and let Lewis take over things have changed here in Cincinnati.

There are quite a few football experts that have picked the bengals to beat the Chiefs this week. They believe that the Chiefs will be looking to next weeks opponent in stead of concentrating on the Bengals this week. I have a good feeling that the Bengals will come out with a win. We'll see though. That is why they play the game, otherwise on paper Tampa Bay would already be this year's Super Bowl winners again.

Jinx or no jinx (unfortunately I believe in the mystic powers of the bad juju caused from SI Covers) KC should win this game handily, but...............! Game to worry about is the Denver game in Denver, since traditionally they generally split every year! KC had (I have been a fan of theirs since they moved to Kansas City) one of the easiest schedules in the NFL and that could hurt them in the playoffs. I would love to see the Chiefs playing in the Super Bowl and WINNING!

A true Bengals fan is NOT a closet fan. I've been a Bengals fan as long as I can remember and am proud of it.

Some teams have neve made it to a Superbowl, and we have, twice.

Who Dey! Who Dey!
Who Dey think gonna beat them Bengals!
Who Dey!

The Jungle is back in Cincinnati boys!
We're now tied for first place with the Ravens. Who'd a thought that would happen this early on in Lewis' lead?
Go Bengals!

Yes, I am excited about it and yes I realize their record in only 5-5. But, they have done something that hassn't happened in over a decade. They are in first place and don't have a losing record.

I hope they win the rest of their games and meet Chiefs in Playoffs! It will be get even time then!

Charlie

PS Congratulations, I knew the SI Cover would cause some grief...............it did! Nobody expected KC to go 16-0 anyway, just want homefield advantage for playoffs!

This was the biggest SI curse I can remember in ages. Not since the 85 Bears did a team look so unbeatable. But I must say that I'm happy about the outcome especially for Jon Kitna, Bengals starting QB. His son and my daughter used to be in the same gym class for a year when he was in Seattle and I found Jon to be a very nice guy who has genuine passion for his profession. And he's really beat the odds to get to where he is today and it was nice to see him get so pumped over the victory. Maybe they can knock someone out in the playoffs as well.

As for you die-hard Bengals fans, enjoy the ride

Go Bengals!!! Die hard Bengals fan since I was a little puppy. Watch out NFL, give us a couple of more years with Lewis at the helm and we will be back in the Superbowl hunt. I predicted 8-8 this year and that will be good enough to win our weak division and make it to the playoffs!!!

I am so glad I picked up Rudi Johnson and dumped Corey Dillon in my fantasy football. Johnson will be a stud within a year or so...
