I've smoked 4 so far...I purchased 5 about a years ago and they are very good in my opinion...that 18 year old wrapper is sweet and makes for a mellow smoke.Great flavor....loads of smoke...but the wrapper is very delicate.
I'm not sure if they are worth the money they ask for them..I paid $75.00 for five...from a deep pocketed pal who purchsed a box.....set aside a few hours to enjoy....rich and luxurious cigar IMHO.

Glenn, thanks for the review of the Partagas Signature 150's, as I have always wondered if they were worth the price. Maybe I will give one a whirl one of these days. Charlie

There were only 300,000 of them made for Partagas'es 150th aniversary and they were released in 1995 ... never to be made again. It is estamated that there are only 10,000 of them left in the entire world. If you can find one, you are very lucky, IMHO. I've found only a few places on the internet that sell them, and one site had them for $899 for a box of 25, that makes them roughly $36 apiece. Those i-doits that complain about the overbidders on that five pack a while back (went for almost $100) really don't have a clue ...

my wife bought me two of these about that time for $28.50 each. they were nice cigars, but i wouldn't spend that kind of money for them again. at the time dr cohiba lanceros were $75.00 a five pack. now they are about $10. to $15. a five pack. i'd just as soon smoke a monte a or a hemmingway masterpiece than the partagas 150. strangly they said back in 1955 their not enough of these to last too long. why are they still here? i believe the story was they were found on some loading dock, still fresh, having been missing for several years.

rp sarasota responding. Haven't smoked one yet. A few months back I was in Edwards cigars in Tampa looking for a ISOM Cohiba Esplandido equivalent. They politely told me one did not exist. I asked what they would recommend for an excellent cigar. They suggested a Don Carlos. And, if I wanted something excellent and rare, they had 3 remaining Partagas 150 Coronas forsale @ $20 each. I bought one and have put it aside for that special time. I'll light one of my last remaining AA's tonight and give you an honest report then. I've not smoked one yet, a couple were gifted. In many cases, bigger is not always better.

Smoked it, enjoyed it, bought more. If you're looking for a kick, this isn't it. Buy if you want good construction, full rich flavor without harshness, slo even burn, good quantity of smoke, and a great look, this it has. Undoubtedlythe best overall cigar in my humi (I have VSG, Anj, Op X, and others in small quantity. To me, the P 150 was more enjoyable. Report & new purchases now end.

In fact,a crate was found some where in a warehouse in Madrid, which is why apparently makes them a very special smoke. I wonder if the number of years that they claim this tabacco to be aged (15-18yrs.) is how long or includes the time it took someone to find this stash(hmm?). Anyway, I just bought a 5 pack of these babies for 85 bones and hope the price is worth it. I'll let you know as soon as I try one, I wonder how it will face up to one of my Cohiba Esquisitos.

My bad, I meant to write Cohiba Esplendidos and my mind was thinking Partagas since, I also just got a box of Partagas Series S Esquisitos. Any opinions/reviews on the Esquisitos?
