I know it's scary has hell, but this is routine surgery. You'll be sore as you can imagine after the surgery, but not from the bypass. They usually have to cut some ribs and recovering from that really hurts and takes time. Get up and walking as soon as you can. Once you get home, become a nutrition and exercise fanatic. Most red meat and anything with hydrogenated fat should be scaled down in your daily food consumption. See if you can control your cholesterol with diet, niacin, and red rice yeast supplements. Mevacor and the other stantins work to keep cholesterol down, but they can take a toll on the liver, and they allow you to eat to much crap and still have low cholesterol. If you are a heavy smoker, drop down to one nice twenty minute smoke every other day. Be here to enjoy life. Steve*R
