That's the way we do things in Pennsylvania and the rumor is next season we are going to replace the birds with liberals. JonR

I dont hunt myself. I have a wide variety if firearms though. This isnt hunting in my opinion. It's too easy. I do fish, and I dont think I would if there wasnt ANY challenge to it. I dont think this type of hunting takes any skill. I dont like it.

next year they are going to have people hold the birds up to the end of the gun so they can't miss any.

from the artical "**** can stand a foot high. They weigh 3.5 pounds." Somebody peeked...

I believe strongly that they should have hunting season, because it thins out the hunters.

I've participated in a hunt similar to this and I won't do it again. There is no challenge or sport when the birds are just released prior to the hunt.

Pheasant are pretty hard to hunt when they are wild. Even with a good bird dog, when they flush they are fast flying and usually go straight away from the hunter. Reaction time is about 2 seconds before they are out of range.

This is an example of poor sportsmanship and gives hunting a bad name.

I agree this wouldn't be hunting.. we've got a few places here in Illinois that does this.. game reserves..

I like the old high grass and walking the waterways in fields for the chance at the phesant... railroad tracks an thickets for the covey of quail.. and when them get up there's a challenge lining out just one bird when there ar 30 or more....

I have hunted the reserves in IL. It is a little different. They release 2 birds for each hunter. All the hunters are assigned an area. You have no idea where they released the birds. Many people come away with 0. The only thing I dislike is the birds rarely fly and you end up with a ground shot at a running pheasant.

Don't know if the Rolling Rock Brewery owns this place or not. If this is the case. I will no longer drink rolling rock beer, and will ask the Pub I frequent, to drop it from their menu. This kind of thing makes me sick. I think Clubs that do this should be illegal. The only person who could enjoy something like this, is someone who gets off on killing, not the thrill of the hunt. They should be working in Live Hang at Tysons.

This may not be the best way to hunt, but all of you hunters shouldn't be ragging on them in this liberal post.

The worst thing that a hunter can do is start disagreeing and posting negative things about other hunters. This kind of dissention will help the PETAs and other anti-hunters of the world get a stronger foothold and eventually lead to banning of hunting.

If you disagree, keep your mouth shut and grin and bear it. For it is hunters such as Cheney and these Senators that help enable Americans to keep the sport alive and thriving. Without them, there would be no hunting.

Just my 2 cents worth and I will now get off my soap box.

Sorry Matt,
I must disagree with you on this one. It is the clubs like this one, and the people who participate in them, that gives the toehold to Peta. It is clubs like this that fuel their fires, and give them an arguement that they can run with. No True Hunter, would enjoy or condone this type of thing. Not trying to bust your balls, or give groups like Peta, any encouragement. If the hunting community would police themselves, groups like Peta, would have a tough time getting members and donations.

P.S. Matt, I hope your wife is doing better. Last I heard she had some problems after her Surgery.
