Baseball Great Tug McGraw Dies

http://www.nbc10.com/news/2742861/detail.html

NBC 10 News has confirmed that Phillies great Tug McGraw has died.

He died while visiting his son, country star Tim McGraw in Tennessee.

McGraw was diagnosed with brain cancer last March while attending Phillies spring training camp.

NBC 10 News was told McGraw took a turn for the worse Sunday and was in a coma.

"The Tugger" was one of the most beloved Phillies of all time.

In 1980, his final strikeout clinched the Philadelphia Phillies one and only World Series title.

McGraw was 59 years old.

I remember him well and fondly ... great attitude, not one of the spoiled brat types by any means ... even knowing of his illness, it's somehow still a surprise ...
