Why not? It just show what dispicable, lying, pusilanimous, miscreants are capable of when they try to attack an honorable man.

Great to see you back Marla. And I hope you are feeling much better. By your sense of humor, I can see you are feeling better.
By the way, all of those 30 second clips, on that site, were sent in by Americans, who do not like Bush. They are not paid ads, just a release for people who do not like Bush. If you don't want to see it, don't go to the site. It is freedom of speech.
Don't you just LOVE America.

Yes Rick, but those other words and phrases lacked a conotation the 'pusilanimous' carries, a lack of willingness to take responsibility. The people who operate that site claim that they didn't screen the posts, and had no control or responsibility for what was there, and denied they had any culpability. Gee that would be like someone asking if it was true that you only beat your wife occaisionally, and by the time you got out your denial, and demanded an apology, the rumor is all over that there's allegations that you beat you wife. Yes you DID post a warning, but if you don't want someone to read the vile defamations you choose to repeat here, don't post them. I for one want to know what the "other side" is saying so I may accurately counter in a debate, rather than be ambushed by a pack of unforseen lies.

i knew you couldn't resist temptation.

what was so vile and untrue about the add?

everything the man said is true.

point out the lie.

did you look at the other 14 entries?

and a question for you to think about. don't rush the answer. sleep on it a few days.

what if bush is everything i say he is and you are completely wrong in your appraisal of him?

First Rick, I didn't see the spot in question, because the people had already pulled it from thier own site (see pusilanimous comment above) I was going by the description on the piece Hockeydad linked to. Antbody who would compare ANY freely elected American President (even Clinton) to Adolph Hitler, who sent six million innocent men women and children to be exterminated is guilty of gross libel.
Second, consider for a moment that all those cartoons are right and the moon, except for those few rocks they brought back, is made out of green cheese. don't answer right away, go ahead and sleep on it!

Hey CWFoster,
I really am confused. Above you wrote, "Antbody who would compare ANY freely elected American President (even Clinton) to Adolph Hitler, who sent six million innocent men women and children to be exterminated is guilty of gross libel." On the thread concerning the use of the patriot act you wrote, "WOW a concensus! I am as much against terrorism as anyone (being in the military) but I think we also need to continue being Americans, and start worring about being "good little Germans". Many of the good points raised during the arguement for the Patriot Act were also raised to point up the neccssity of imbuing the Chancellor of the Nationalist Socialst Party with unprecedented powers. This was right before Hitler disbanded the Reichstag and became a dictator. "
I didn't see the ad, because I knew that it was a competition, looking for ads against Bush, so there would be alot of Bull**** there. As even radicals could post their ads. Don't mean anything by this post, just curious. Whats the difference?

Anybody is entitled to thier opinion. As so often happens the opinion of the offended party is overlooked. I never said that no one had the right to post BS, just don't deny me my right to be outraged by an attack on the President of the United States. I have no real problem with Rick and many others who have concerns about the administration, that Democracy, and the beauty of living in a Republic. What galls me is when some a**hole decides to overstep the bounds of constructive criticism, and gets to mindles caracter assasinations designed to do nothing more than inflame. My other post was to point out that we should NOT blindly follow, as did the German people in the thirties, but reasonably question, and ensure the checs and balances are in place. Please notice that in the intrest of fairness, I stated that EVEN CLINTON didn't deserve that kind of comparison, and I consider him guilty of high treason! Compare him to Ethel and Julius Ronenburg perhaps, but not a maniac who was directly responsible for exterminating six million Jews, and another six million Gypsys, Catholics, Communists, Teachers, Protestants, and homosexuals, basically anyone who wouldn't be "a good little German" and follow blindly. S no, I'm not saying anyone shouldn't be able to air thier opinion, but if someone libels another, they should be prepared to accept responsibility for said libel as provided for by law. That's hard to make a case for with a public figure like the President, but I reserve my right to express outrage!
