Tomorrow, the wife and I, the mother-in-law, and two nieces and one nephew are headed to our timeshare property at the Embassy Resort, Lake Tahoe.

We will be there for a week, until Friday the 9th, and there is going to be PLENTY of snow! It's storming here pretty heavy right now, and the only hassle is see is getting through the mountains (bring on the chains, LOL!)

It's pretty luxurious, they have an indoor/outdoor pool that is open all year around (they say swimming amongst all the snow is beautiful), and the outdoor and indoor pool are connected by a tunnel that you swim through, and they offer huge discounts to owners on Heavenly Valley Ski packages, casino packages, resturants, etc. Heavenly just opened (this season) a brand new 'winter park' ...

Neither my wife or I ski (but love the casino's) ... and it should be a lot of fun for the teenagers, and since we don't see much snow where we all live, it should be a lot of fun ...

... and a nice way to start out the new year!

Slim, Happy New Year......What a great way for you and family to start the New Year. Drive safely and pay the 10 bucks to have the chains put on so you can stay toasty in the car. Also, on the slots, play the Red, White & Blue ones.............See ya when you get back...

Slim, have a very Happy New year and all the best wishes to you and the fam.
Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, and a delight to ski and gamble. Smoke a couple good one's there for all of us.

usahog --- go ahead and send it, my neighbor is watching our house ... and he doesn't smoke cigars ... LOL!

I've also got a package from CB that has been sitting in the UPS Richmond warehouse (50 miles from my house) since Dec. 28th that they say is in transit, and is right on schedule. CB sent it on Dec. 23, and USP has the delivery time as Jan. 5th, what's up with that? I'll retaliate when I get back ... ;^) ... with something I think both you and your wife will really like! Something on the milder side (I know you like 'em not too stong), smaller in size and ring gauge, and very rare (aged 5 years, and no longer produced anymore).

Not sure where your leaving from, but I-5 is shut down as I type. But I am sure you check all that stuff before hand. Be safe and bring us West Coasters some snow....Tired of the rain......

We will be going up hwy 50 ... today looks bad, but I'm hoping tomorrow will be better ...

Yeah my father made it through 88 from here yesterday, but just in time. I think everything's closed right now.
