i won't tell you you're wrong, because it IS a criminal act to be in this country illegally. that said, being here illegally does not make one a rapist. we have plenty of homegrown rapists, too.
i'm not defending these animals. not by a longshot.
what i do NOT like, though, is the idea of pushing stereotypes around and in doing so causing people to be suspicious of those sharing an ETHNICITY with the animals involved in this rape.
when you see someone who looks latino -- how do you know he's a citizen or here legitimately? and then, how do you know he's NOT?
to be on the safe side, shouldn't we just be suspicious of anyone who looks mexican?
that's the kind of thinking that worries me.
it would especially ironic to find a posse of vigilante types stalking a latino here in the US thinking "let's get the illegal scumbag!" -- then finding out that the "illegal scumbag" was, oh, say a representative from your favorite cigar company.
i just wonder, why propagate such ethnic hostility?
and that IS what i see this as. i don't see posts condemning "illegals" from russia, germany, england, scandinavia, etc. yet they, too, are criminals. they, too, have committed serious crimes. they, too, leech off the system.
but because they have white skin, no one's eyeing a white man suspiciously wondering if he's here illegally. if that's the real issue here, why not?
