I just got done watching G.W. give his Naional Address and feel that he did an excellant job. To be able to be as concise as he was after 3 of the most prominent structures in our country have been destroyed. I happen to work at Ingalls Shipbuilding, where we are putting the finishing repairs on DDG 67 USS Cole(another victim of faceless terrorists). There was a sense of shock and disbelief all day, we are not forunate enough to get news of this nature except through the rumor mill. As I left work I slowly saw the signs that this attack was as bad as everyone was saying, full security in our shipyard, armed M.P.s at the Navy Base here, Police everywhere, I hurried home to watch in horror as the video of the second plane exploding in the Trade Center, and then the susequent collapse of both towers all I could do was cry for all those that perished and pray for those that are injured or missing loved ones. My first reaction was to nuke those responsible, but as I quickly realized who is responsible? Until we know we are left with helping those in need. And I urge everyone on this board that is able to go out in the next few days and rool up your sleeve and donate a pint of blood, I gave my pint last Thursday, and I pray that it is on its way to N.Y or D.C. to help save someone's life. I take great pride in the fact that not only do I live here but that I am also responsible for building the best ships the Navy has...Todd

I have posted this elswhere and I will post it here.
You are correct Todd, we need to be together and stand as one because justice must be served.

I went outside tonight to burn one in memory of the victims and the innocent who have suffered on this day. My relief of getting a job offered today has been overshadowed and cannot be celebrated at this time. Living in Plainfield IL, I am in the path of both Midway and O'hare for west to east bound traffic. As I sit outside, not truly enjoying my AF best seller, the skies are quiet. The exception is two survellance planes flying at high altitude over the Chicago area. I am saddened by what has been done to all of us, particularly distraught for those in the NY area. The reality of todays' events is horrifying to us all. Anger will, if not already, will consume us all in some way.
We should all vent in the way that suites us without critisism. To each his own. We all mourn in our own way. All are affected by this tragedy and should be able to speak our minds and say what they need to say. United we stand. We should be here for each other and stand together on the common goal that there is hell to pay.

Those f#$%ers should burn before they go to hell for what they did
