just read a thread about writing letters to get what you have coming to you (and i'm glad she's back behind the wheel, cigarick!). :)

i just wanted to start a thread about letters like this in general and to make an offer to all of you here.

i'm a writer. published even. :) fiction, journalism, poetry, essays, dissertations -- you name it, i've probably written it.

but what i LOVE to write are letters of this nature. VA screwing you over? Buy something that underwhelmed you but they won't let you return it?

let me help. seriously, i've got the time to do this, and frankly it would be nice to do something to feel USEFUL for a change. no, i'm not wanting to get paid for this. or to get cigars or any other form of compensation. i want to help, that's all.

thanks, rick. hope i can do some good stuff for folks here.

sadly, probably not, as my first book (poetry, one fiction piece) has been out of print for a decade now. i had a milk crate full of my copies, and when i was moving from MN to MA, some jackhole stole the lot of them right off the back of the truck. :p only copy even i have of it is a marked up proof copy.

i'm (slowly but surely) working on a novel, though, as well as polishing up some short stories to submit for publication. hopefully i'll at least be able to get some stories in print this year.

if your that board...I have many friends who could use your help getting letters done up for their VA, medical situations and can put you in contact with people who are needing this type help...

they don't have much.. the government has just about bank rolled them with no help on their medicals...

drop me an email.. but I cannot respond right away I gota go earn the light bill here shortly... will be back to puter later this evening

thanks, gentlemen. hog, i've gotta go do my last physical torture, er, therapy for the day, and i'll email you asap afterwards -- tomorrow at the latest.

i'd be more than happy to write letters for ANYONE who's served our country, and especially those in need of medical help.

dave, it was after reading about you helping your buddy out that i thought, "hey, that guy's lucky to have dave helping him through this; i'll bet a lot of guys are just flying solo." so thanks for turning on a lightbulb over my noggin about this. :)

well I can forward you some who are flying solo... and need all the help they can get...

I have people who can reach these folks also.. and have contact with them as they strugle through...

Tony your generious Offer is far and Above anything I can do.. hell just reading my posts you can tell that.. I've been told many times by polititions I need to tone down my thoughts going into my fingers...LOL

I guess I tell it like I see it tooooo Much.. and type it like I'm talkin to some kids dad at the ballfield...
