Subject: Bush Took Care of It

by Hamilton McWhorter, Cmdr, USN Ret.

This is worth a few minutes of thought no matter which "side" you are on. You know, it is easy to forget the 'promises' that Bill and Hillary made while in office. It strikes home when it is listed like this:

After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six and injured 1,000, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

BUSH COVERED IT!

After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

BUSH COVERED IT!

After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 U.S.military personnel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

BUSH COVERED IT!

After the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in Africa, which killed 224 and injured 5,000; Clinton promised that those responsible! would be hunted down and punished.

BUSH COVERED IT!

After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured 39 U.S. sailors; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

BUSH COVERED IT!

Maybe if Clinton had kept his promise, an estimated 3,000 people in New York and Washington, D.C. that are now dead would be alive today.

BUSH TOLD THOSE FIREMAN -- THEY WOULD HEAR US TOO!

Now that Bush is taking action to bring these people to justice, we have opponents charging him with being a war monger...

AN INTERESTING QUESTION: This question was raised on a Philly radio call-in show. Without casting stones, it is a legitimate question. There are two men, both extremely wealthy. One develops relatively cheap software and gives billions of dollars to charity. The other sponsors terrorism. That being the case, why was it that the Clinton Administration spent more money chasing down Bill Gates over the past eight years than Osama bin Laden?

! THINK AB OUT IT!

Shouldn't we think it a very strange turn of events when Hillary gets $8 Million for her forthcoming memoir, and Bill gets about $12 Million for his memoir yet to be written. Shouldn't we think these highly paid memoirs are odd coming two people who have spent the past 8 years being unable to recall anything about past events while under oath!

The Clinton's cannot recall anything unless lots of money is going into their pockets! Thus the book deals!

The millitary, and inteligence agencies (agencies there regardless of who is bumbling in the White House) had absoltely nothing to do with it. Bush did it! By the way, what exactly did he do in each case? Are you telling me that all those terrible things happened while Bush was on watch? Now that I find interesting.

AJ, not to piss in your wheaties so early in the afternoon.. but I searved my Country on 4 tours to the middle east.. under Clinton and Bush, Under Clinton we had to borrow parts off of other Aircraft and Order things outside our budget thus not being able to do the proper training our pilots needed let alone our own folks (Maintenance) I talked to other groups (Army) Camp Doha Kuwait.. 1996 I said man you guy's have an impresive display of fire power up here 50 or better M1A1 Battle Tanks... the Guy says WE GOT ****!!!!! Literally (Mechanic)he says you see that wash rack over there? "Yep" well that tank in that washrack will come out of there.. go right into the garage and we yank the motor.. tow another tank in that one out and drop the motor in and wash that SOB then do it all over again... I said why?? he looks at me like he's gunna swing on me.. and says That F*ckin Clinton cutbacks we can't afford parts for these things.. now we're sittin on a barrier wall at Camp Doha Kuwait... You Can Spit on Iraq from this base.. and we're told we're a "speed bump" if Saddam decided to invade Kuwait again... I told the guy I can feel your pain.. working extra hours on equipment because you have to rob peter to pay paul and then turn around and pay peter back so paul could get a rest..

We Babysat Saddam for 12 long years... 8 of those years All through the Clinton Administration we couldn't fight him if we had to..... the washrack was all eye wash for the satilites.. cat and mouse...

there were only a few times we did put some Iron on the Ass... and those few times I was sitting in the homeland here Wishing they'de pulled the trigger while I was deployed there!!! "Boring" lots of time on your hands away from family and doing nothing but what you could do back home 9-5 and sleep in your own bed...
routine... then 96 the phone calls to the bases or athorities saying their going to blow up or plant a bomb at a major base... we left june 96 two days later Cobar Towers Blows killing many Military Brothers and Sisters... Clinton... Did Nothing... Don't tell me WE were left out of this and Bush Did it ALL...
I am one Proud Military Member and Stand behind this Commander and Chief!!!!!!!!

I do think WE Military Understand this Post a little better then some..

let me hand you a gun.. nice one a 50 Cal... you hold on to it everyday... for 12 years and every day we're going to go out in the field and you carry that with you... and the ammo to support it.. But you can't shoot it.. we just want you to hold it and make a Presence known.. you got it if you need it.. but we will court marshal you if you fire that weapon...
Now would that make you happy?? then at the same time... Joe.. your Buddy who really is a friendly guy... turns out to be joesephine and your 7,000 miles away from any action... and share the same bunk with him/her "Don't Ask Don't Tell" but I gotta ask.. was you layin some wet ones on ol' Joe??

I think Bush Took Care of It!!!! with alot of help from his Lower Ranks... and Proud Lower Ranks at that!!! and it was long overdue!!!!!!!!

More to the point, the intelligence community was told that they could not do business with people who were known murderers and drug smugglers etc. without prior permission from the highest levels in Washington. Anyone who understands the concept of CYA realizes that this means the higher-ups don't WANT you dealing with these people, so you don't want to be the one asking for the exceptions to the rules, However the people who get close enough to bad actors like Bin Laden, and Mullah Omar, and have motives to try to help us take them down, are not merely guilty of singing too loud in Sunday school! So, the CLINTON administration effectively hamstrung the intel community. I believe you also said something about WE military members? We are not allowed to take action beyond what our orders are! Under Clinton, that consisted of throwing a few Tomahawks, and calling it a day! But until you put the troops ashore, and do an accurate BDA (Battle Damage Assessment) and round up any survivors, they just come back out of the woodwork like cockroaches after you stop looking! Bush said, Launch the TLAM's, put the Marines, and the Army ashore, have the Air Force and the Navy provide 24/7 air support, and lets go get theses people! YES, BUSH COVERED IT!

Well, my Wheaties are a little wet, but I'll get over it. I am proud of you guys and everyone else who has to "lay it on the line". I also think the world is alot better off without Saddam. However, I don't like Bush and his cronies any more than I liked Clinton. I think he's running this country into the ground. You might have had tank parts, but at what cost? We are now into deficit spending like there was a Democrat in the White House and a Deomcrat majority congress! We are all going to pay the price sooner or later. I know many good people, professional people, who have had good jobs for many years (15, 20, 25) just get "thrown to the sharks". I've seen my medical insurance rates more than triple and we are being told that they will probably triple again within the next five years. I see Bush and Cheney and their administration cronies lining up to make a profit off of rebuilding Iraq and pumping a few barrels of oil out of Alaska, while hydrogen fuel-cell cars are here, but not getting any push from Bush or anyone else. God bless our soldiers. They deserve better and they deserve to get the Hell outa there! Where is the rest of the world Bush had lined up? I hate politics! I'm done. I'm going to stick to the Cigar forum. Game's on! Later!

I subscribe to an e-mail service which describes itself as 'politically incorrect new.' Here is the latest from that source - - I have not had time to verify any of the below, but thought I would share anyway . .any research hounds out there?

REPUBLICANS ADMIT WMD MIGHT HAVE FOOLED THEM,
DEMOCRATS FORGET THEIR EARLIER WMD CLAIMS
Saddam Hussein may have fooled everyone about having weapons of mass destruction in order to intimidate his enemies, said David Kay, former
Chief U.S. Weapons Inspector for Iraq. Kay said that WMD may have been destroyed earlier or sneaked out of the country. So far he hasn't found enough evidence to prove their existence.
Democrats had chided President George W. Bush for not attacking Iraq because they claimed that WMD were a serious threat, but later criticized Bush because he did invade Iraq. When WMD weren't materializing,
prominent Democrats forgot their past claims of the dangerous existence of WMD and accused Bush of knowingly lying that there were WMD.
The below accumulation of statements by prominent Democrats claiming WMD and the date of each statement appeared on the website of radio commentator Glenn Beck on Jan.30, 2004. Sources of each statement can be
found at www.glennbeck.com.----------------------------
What Did The Democrats Say About Iraq's WMD?
"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them.
That is our bottom line." -- President Bill Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998
"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program." -- President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998
"We must stop Saddam from ever again jeopardizing the stability and security of his neighbors with weapons of mass destruction." -- Madeline
Albright, Feb 1, 1998
"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983." -- Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser,
Feb, 18, 1998
"We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond
effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs." -- Letter to President Clinton from (D)
Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, others, Oct. 9, 1998
"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." -- Rep.
Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998
"Hussein has . . . chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies." -- Madeline Albright,
Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999
"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the
mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them."--Sen. Carl Levin (D,MI), Sept 19, 2002
"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country." -- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002
"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power." -- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002
"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." -- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA),Sept. 27, 2002
"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..." -- Sen. Robert
Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002
"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force, if necessary, to disarm Saddam Hussein because I
believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." -- Sen. John F. Kerry (D,MA), Oct. 9, 2002
"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years . . . We also should remember we have
always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."--Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002
"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his
nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members . . . It is clear, however, that
if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop
nuclear weapons." -- Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002
"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass
destruction." -- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002
"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime . . . He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to
miscalculation . . . And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction . . . So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass
destruction is real . . ." -- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003
in his foreign policy speech at Georgetown University

If the lies concerning WMD were not fabricated, OUR death toll would be 0 not almost 600. That is a fact, not an opinion. Have you all heard when the results of President Bush's Independent Panel Probing Intelligence Failures in Iraq are to be made public? AFTER THE ELECTION! Hmmmmmm......my butt is starting to itch!

Russ, I will say one thing, I admire the hell out of your conviction....in a world full of hypocracy it is nice to see someone holdfast to their beliefs.
