but i do read the cigars and misc site, and i have posted on occassion.

today something caught my eye and lead me to bassdudes original tributes-would you buy from here? it was long, so i printed it, took it outside, and read it.

as some of you might know, i occassionally post negative things about little w, to get responses both pro and con. i've been called a lot of names and told to FO by one of our SOTL.

i have never seen as much passion and fervor about the president as was shown on bassdudes post. i saw nothing wrong with what he posted, but the intensity of the responses from almost all of the posters was overwhelming. incidentally, i have had sex and i have had cigars. sex is better.

have none of you ever been mistreated or ignored in a store? have none of you ever been in a line and have the cashier tell you she had closed? have none of you ever bought anything and found out the next day you overpaid? if a cashier gives you change for a twenty, when you know you gave her a ten, do you return the extra money?

i am sure the cigars in question are the most desirable of cigars. i fell in like with the bohemian revolutions when i was gifted one. i have since found out they are discontinued and i have been buying the 10 box samplers bohemians because they will not be available much longer. i have been paying $19.00 a box. the last set of 5 boxes cost me $25.00, the retail price at CI. wheni am forced to pay more, i will just go to CI and buy them retail.

i truly like these cigars.

i guess my question is why is there so much passion and anger about an online seller. also, nobody, even with all the anger called the seller any nasty names.

am i to presume the outlandish posts about little w that i post are less important then then some dumbass seller who doesn't handle his business correctly?

If I thought that by calling someone an idiot on a c-bid forum I cold stop a terrorist attack or get a libertarian elected president, or score a better discount on a box of good cigars, I would not hesitate.

Rick,
I think people in general don't like unethical behavior and are quick to jump on to support someone who they think has been wronged... lambasting the accused wrong doer. When I read the post from bassdude, it pissed me off that a retailer would do something like that.

I don't think that anyone thinks your posts about GW are less important, but we're not as outraged about shady political behavior because it happens all the time. We're desensitized to it.

I think your opinion is important. I think your constant shouting your opinion at us is not. I think these Tributes are VERY important (ok, not really), but business ethics is and I also think it is especially interesting considering the assumed 'cigar culture'....and plus NO ONE screws over my friend Tony...

Rick,
It is a shame that we can no longer trust the politicians we've chosen to run the country. I'm not saying that everyone in elected office is crooked, but the waters have been so muddied by a so many, that it is difficult to trust.
What happened to the time that people became civil servents to help the country and the citizens, without thought of personal gain... and didn't take a salary to do it (I know there are some whoe don't). Now, they are paid more than most people will see in a lifetime and have the biggest golden parachute possible. We hear so often that choosing a president is picking the lesser of two evils. One would think that with such a polarization of parties, there would be more middle of the road policies to benefit the greater good... what we are seeing is a lack of compromise from with either side and nothing gets done.

I'm not anti-government... I just think there is definite room for improvement and cleaning up.

Come now boys these two subjects are apples and oranges. The business of politics and the politics of business are completely seperate issues. I don't understand why so many topics must come back to so few. Nov. is just around the corner take a whack at it then.
