Man , cannot wait....the race the other night was a tease......now i'm back on a weekly sporting event...i like other sports , but nascar's alway's been my favorite. it last's all year almost so i stuck to it......... Ok , wild off the hip call...for Daytona......i like Dale Jr or Mark Martin. Terry Labonte wasn't looking none too bad either in the race the other day ! but i'm picking Jr or Mark .....pulling for them anyway....maybe a little for Micheal Waltrip also he's coming into it looking good.

Being a Jarrett fan, obviously I want him to win. i agree that Martin is looking good though. It must be those new Yates engines.

Yes it would be nice to see Rusty pull it off for the old guys. Just like DJ did in the Shootout Saturday night.

And for a little mud in your face I hope the new points system allows one of the Vet's (not Jeffy) to win the Championship, heheheeee. I wasn't a fan of the new points system at first, but after looking at it, it will allow for harder racing around race 25 & 26, then again for the final 10 races. It could be good.

Now that Rusty has one year of Dodge under his belt, look for him to rebound this year and . . . W I N !
Daytona would be a great win, but I'd watch him at Rockingham for sure, especially with the new tire compound.

no mud in my face...i'm not a "jeffy" fan . but the vetran i want to see do it would be Mark Martin ! with as close as he's been in the past to just have it fal away...yes...maybe this new deal with yates will prove to be good ! my main drivers are Dale Jr (loyal to the family) Micheal Waltrip and Mark Martin. i do pull for other when my regular drivers either crashout or fall off pace and can't recover....i wasn't pulling for the big brown truck the other night though....i was wishing on there being about 4 more laps so Jr could win......4 more laps would have done it ! even Jarret mentioned he wasn't sure what would have happend given more laps......he was getting wore down stayin ahead of Jr! oooh this is going to be an interesting year !

Ugggh. Anyone see the news that there's only 36 full time teams, and only 38 entries for Rockingham? Only the strong survive. . . . . I guess if you're a fan of one of the big high dollar multicar teams, you'll still enjoy the season, but as someone who's rooting for the underdog each week - well, those day's are over, because most of the underdogs have all been spent out of business.

BOO-YA ! The Budweiser chevy ruled the final 50 laps to take the checkered flag and to once again put an Earnherhardt in victory lane in Daytona ! 3rd in "father son" victories . 6 yrs since Dale Sr. made it the most famous and memorable race of all the Daytona 500's !
Damn that was a good race !!! glad Micheal wasn't hurt ! the EMT's should have listened to him and just turned the car over and he could get out on his own ! but no...they had to try it thier way and chop into the car. but in the end ?.....they turned it over and Micheal got out on his own ! alls well with Micheal Waltrip. i am ticked off about the Roush motors blowing up though ! Yates's motors didn't do that.....hhmmmmmmm ? Jack Roush better think of something else and stay away from Yates !
Congratulations to Dale Earnhardt Jr. ...Champion of the Daytona 500 and first time leader of the Nextel Cup Points (wish it were Winston Cup !) !!!!!
well i gotta Greycliff calling me for the victory smoke !! toodles !

I understand why Michael was upset, but the safety workers did the right thing. He may have been panicky being upside down, but he wasn't in any more danger. If he had hurt his spinal cord or his neck (which wasn't too unlikely with that wreck), it could have made it a lot worse by flipping the car back over. They are most interested in the health of the driver.

The Budweiser chevy ruled the final 50 laps...

I am very glad Jr. won! But I seem to remember Tony Stewart taking the lead early in the race by diving in front of Jr. going into pit row, and keeping that lead until there were only about 16 laps to go!

Well we all know Dale Sr. created the DEI dominance for the super speedways, and spent numerous $$$ on R&D for a Daytona win. He finally got it and Jr. has continued Dads driving at the superspeedways, but what can Jr do at the other tracks??? I haven't seen him win much elswhere, so whats DEI gonna do at them shorter tracks???

It was another typical Daytona 500, or superspeedway race for that matter, heheheeeee! With the 500 over, that means the real season begins . . . Lets Go Racin!

NASCAR stands for the "National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing"

What does WALLACE stand for?
We All Look Like A**es Chasing Earnhardt.........

Did you hear that Rusty Wallace has a new sponsor next year?
The sponsor will be Puffs PLUS. ..........

When Davey Allison went to heaven, he was met at the gate by Alan Kulwicki. Behind Alan, Davey could see the #7 and #28 cars. Alan said "Man this place is great. The cars are setup perfect!" Then Davey saw the #3 car and exclaimed "Oh No! Not Dale too!" Alan said "No, THAT'S the car God races!" ........

A little boy ran away from home and a cop saw him and said "Hey little boy, what are you doing?" The little boy replied "I'm running away from home." The cop asked him "Why are you doing that?" The little boy replied "Because my dad beats me." The cops says "Oh, well get in the car and I will take you to your mother's." And the little boy says "No, no! She beats me too!" The cop says "Do you have an uncle?" "Yes but he beats me too", replied the little boy. And the cop says "Get in the car and I'll take you to your grandmother's then." The little boy says "No, no, no! My grandmother beats me also." The cop says "Well little boy, is there anywhere I can take you where nobody will beat you?" And the little boys says "Take me to live with Rusty Wallace because he can't beat anybody."
...
What is the difference between Jeff Gordons car and a porcupine?
On a porcupine, the pricks are on the outside!.......

hehehehehehehe

Three NASCAR fans were on their way to a Race when one noticed a foot sticking out of the bushes by the side of the road. They stopped and discovered a female dead body. Out of respect the Jarrett fan took off his hat and placed it over face. The Martin fan took off his hat and placed it over on her chest. Following their lead, the Jeff Gordon fan took his hat off and placed it on her stomach. The police were called and when he arrived, the officer conducted his inspection. First, he lifted up the #88 hat, replaced it, and wrote down some notes. Next, he lifted up the #6 hat, replaced it, and wrote down some notes. The officer then lifted the #24 hat, replaced it, then lifted it again, replaced, lifted it a third time, replaced it. The Gordon fan was getting upset and asked, "What are you, a pervert or something? You keep lifting and looking and lifting and looking." The officer said, "No, I am just surprised; normally when I look under a #24 hat, I find an ****."
