Don't worry guys, there are tons of research out there and many times the researcher will leak out stupid sh#t like this to the press in order to attract more attention to his research and maybe get more grant money for it. What's missing here is the actual data. I would have to see the experiment protocol and the actual results to conclude anything. But 86 people playing video games, just doesn't seem like a good experiment to start with.
