Well the number of responses to my original post was very UNDERwhelming. I'm feeling pretty good though. DrMaddVibe and Flyfishtn took it upon themselves to make up for all the slackers! These two HAMMERED me with high quality smokes of all types! They went way, way, way above and beyond the required. You two guys are GREAT! You are the kind of fellows that make our cigar community good. Thanks DrMaddVibe and Flyfishtn! Thanks very much!

i don't know who failed to cover their loses, but if they are in next year, i am out. i never kept track of who owed me, assuming i would get my cigars.

i think a list of non payers is in order.

I can appreciate the fact that not keeping track shows trust in the fellows in the pool. Unfortunately this theory of self policing seems not to have worked. I think it is not very nice to participate in a pool and not pay losses. I think it is REPREHENSIBLE to accept winnings, and then not pay losses. I have not won cigars from everyone in the pool. But HALF of the people who were supposed to send a cigar my way have not. I'll give it some more time and post my list.

X, I know I do not owe you any but I am a culprit as well. I will be sending out everything I owe.

I did not keep track when I won either. For my last win I received gars from about 1/3 of the folks who owed me.

Anybody hear from Steve? I sent him an e-mail a few days ago.

IMO all the pool players should do the same giving everyone the chance to make amends or suffer their fate.

i'm agreeable with giving people a second chance to make amends. i'm sure steve has all the lists on his computer from the beginning of time until now. i think people that believe they may owe cigars, including me should check with steve. i will check and hope i am not guilty of ommission.

I emailed Steve again asking that he send a group e-mail to ALL participants giving them the chance to come clean. I kept the emails where I owe folks but deleted the emails where I was the winner.

My gars to smithbw are enroute in case he reads this.

Rick I think I owe you.

I thought I had paid up on everything, but did some checking and it looks like I neglected to send out weeks 14, 15, and 16 (wasn't in 17).
So I have some sticks going to:
Tonester666 (Bassdude)
DRHathaway
and SP

Thanks for the spurring me to re-check my records. If anyone else has record that I owe them, let me know.

Thanks!

I sent out an armload of packages but still think I owe a couple brothers some smokes. Will wait and see if SteveS sends the list bassdude inquired about. I also sent an e-mail to Steve asking about the list as well.

Im still waiting on packages from others myself.

Thanks flyfishtn, got yours last week.

i find this whole thread sort of confusing. i mean, let's face it, if you owe, you know you owe. what is steve going to tell anyone that they shouldn't already know? what i find particularly hard to believe is this sort of bewildered confusion by some of the posters above. one prolific poster/player owes me, and by his own admission a lot of others, and has said on two previous posts over the last month that he will be sending asap, but he's still waiting for some kind of info from steve. what is steve going to tell him? at the same time he's making trades left and right on the trade board and posting constantly about getting things set straight. in the end no one is going to be able to prove they sent all they owed but it doesn't matter....you'll just know if you did or you didn't play fair.

I'm pretty sure I paid out to everyone, but if not, let me know.

I think better rules need to be applied next year. Maybe a tally of who owes cigars is sent out at the end of the football season, so that everyone sends out their share in a few happy packages and its easy to keep track of it.

Thanks Beat for the package!

jdouglas, you can use my name I don't mind and will not be offended. I am guilty as charged.

Unfortunately I used my work e-mail when getting into this. We are restricted on space and when I cleaned up old e-mail some of the pool results were deleted. Now you know why I e-mailed Steve. I am kinda lazy and wanted to send them all out at once. Is this excusable? NO.

Why the confusion? Any other info you need from me? [email protected] send me your snailer and yours will go out tomorrow - same to anyone else.

jdouglas,

Should I just send a package to everyone in the pool because I am so confused.

Just as in bassdudes case it was a an e-mail issue and I lost of some the distribution lists. So yes, I think I owe some additional sticks but do not have the distribution list for each week. Im not confused, just trying to pay up.

To those I owe... they went out today, with a little extra to make good on the tardiness. Went priority mail and you should get them in a couple of days.

This gets somewhat confusing because we know each other by our CBid handle, but many packages are received with only the real name and address.

I know most of the names of the folks who sent cigars, but I can't cross-reference others to the list of "handles" that owed me some smokes.
Regardless, let me say that those who did send cigars were entirely generous. Thank you.
And if somebody feels I missed them with a payment, please email me at grafhik at juno dot com.
I have a list of what I sent and to whom, so we can confirm receipt and/or resend smokes if I did miss anybody.

Guilty and lazy as charged.
I kept Steve's emails for the weeks intending to send them off every few weeks. No Excuses.
I owe 5 people smokes as well as Steve for his efforts.
They will go out tomorrow with apologies.

This was a very fun pool even though I did not win even ONCE! I hope this does not prevent people from playing next year. SteveS please send me your addy Bro.
