it's not a good time to say anything about politics, since we are all in together but!!! if i don't bitch about something i'll explode. i am very happy to see c-bid make a lot of money with bidders that haven't a clue about the price of tea in china or the price of cigars in the world. i wait impatiently for these newcomers to the cigar world to realize it's a dirty habit and they should give it up. you guys are loosing your friends and spouses over tobacco leaves rolled up and set on fire. ashes on your shirts, odor on your clothes, can't have a cup of coffee after a meal in a restaurant (some allow cigarettes), it's a lonely life. don't worry about c-bid going out of business. we addicts are hooked. we can't escape, and when you guys wake up and quit, we will be here to keep c-bid going.

Let's see? Do the empty milk cartons have Osama Bin Laden's picture on them? As far as smoking goes, I will not allow the California Ad Campaign to make me a wimp when it comes to Cigars and their nicotine level. Smoke em while you can. Charlie

Im a relative newcomer but I'm not stupid enough to try and outbid someone for 7,8 or 9 bucks a cigar. If that's the case, I might as well go down to the local shop and give him all of my money.

Did you see the box of LGC #4's that went for $82 and $85 If the idiots want to pay retail there are a LOT of web sites that they can hit, including cigar bids retail site cigarsinternational.com . I saw the La Gloria #4's for $75 on one site. Come on idiots... do your home work BEFORE you bid.

I won the LGC #4 maduros with a bid of $82.oo dollars. I just went to that website and the LGC #4 naturals go for $79.95 not $75.00 dollars.
Which is a great deal.
I've seen that same cigar at the local retail shop selling for $5.30 a single cigar. The cigar Internet sites I frequent a box went for as low as $89 dollar.
My point is, over bidding by TWO DOLLARS is no big deal. If you think your going get any of these cigars at half price it rarely happens, but it would be nice. People at any type of auction always over bid.
It's part of the game. It's human nature. I'm going to thoroughly enjoy my $82.00 box of great cigars!

And to think you could have got the LGC Corona Gorda Maduro which is essentially the same cigar(probably better)and I believe, one and a half inches longer(6X52) for $62.00 at another website but I will not mention by name out of deference to cigarbid! TSK! TSK! (That was one long sentence!)

You must be using NEW MATH!
Try using a calculator, it's ONLY .50 cents more a cigar. Any 5th grader can tell you that!

merlyn: i think you may be missing the point. we are used to buying cigars from c-bid cheaper than we can from other cigar sites. if i know a certain cigar is $80. a box of 20, i want to buy a 5 pack at a lot less than $20. or what's the point, plus don't forget to factor in the shipping. c-bid is fair for shipping costs but you screw yourself if you don't take advantage of the second or third item reduction for shipping. most of the responses you are getting are suggesting paying more for a product than it's real value is foolish. however if you feel it is "human nature" to overpay, please come to my next garage sale which will be whenever you want me to have one.

Given, you may pay a little more @ for a 5 pack instead of a box, But It wouldn't be much unless it was a GOOD cigar. That being said... did anyone see that 5 pack of CAO gold go for $13?

Do you have a favorite Internet site or sites that
consistently advertises the lowest possible price on cigars?
If so please past on the info! That’s the only way
to stop over biding. As I've stated in this current tread, the Internet sites I frequent don't come close to selling LGC #4s for $70.00 a box.
By the way I'll be happy to come to your next garage sale as long as you have A-F VSG Belicoso for $4.00 dollars a piece. They are my favorites.

Like 'i said Merlin, the site I gave you is Cigarbid's retail site there are others sites with better prices. I also said that if you want to pay RETAIL go to the RETAIL site, Cigars International will not mind if you want to throw in a couple of EXTRA bucks when you pay them. Heck just send them a letter with a few more dollars in it, and say that you don't the price was high enought, they won't mind. Keith will chuckle all the way to the bank.

Robert, what can I say? I think we've beaten this horse
too death. There are thousands of cigar Internet sites out there and giving enough time to research them all I'm sure you'll ultimately find the lowest possible price. It's not Wal-Mart with one stop shopping!
With the help of two new friends, joedayan and RICKAMAVEN, I now have several new sites book marked
for future use.

Merlin, welcome to the club, as you can tell overbidders are a hot button with me, so excuse the curt response.
