Cigarbid's "slogan" is never pay retail again. thier intention is not for us to pay more than retail but less. I know GWB said to help the economy by spending money but come on. I bought a box about 1 year ago for less than the 5 pack went for this week.

You can still probably pick up a box of delicious Mayorga robustos right here for less than the Oliva O or Ashton VSG 5-packs will auction for. There are great buys available here, and all over the web. There are some outstanding closeouts on Carlos Torano's Grand Nica, Kiki Berger's, La Estrella Cubana, Perdomo's private labels, etc. In over thirty-five years of serious cigar smoking, I've never seen better values in the marketplace. Yes, there are some expensive cigars out there, but plenty of great ones at very reasonable prices too.

I wasn't saying anything about expensive cigars, I was referring to overbidding msrp on average priced cigars. A specific example is a 5 pack that sold for around $18, I bought a box about 1 year ago for $20, these cigars were not a new release but a "closeout" a year ago and still a closeout now.

in case you missunderstood: the 5 pack was the same cigars as the box.

It's not cigarbid's fault that we have idiots at this site who don't know the meaning of "research" and "overbid."

again i was not saying it was cigarbids fault, I was stating thier slogan was meant to help us get great cigars for below retail price, the point of this post was to get people to do the research and find the msrp.

I want this Abernett cracker jack thrown off this site for good. Enough is enough. This goes for any other pud wacker who decides to belabor this issue any further. Let this friggen horse rest already damn it!!!
And for those who are thinking of griping about my overbearing attitude on the subject, save the finger punches. To show I want to be part of the solution and not the problem I will attempt to compose a summary on the subject and submit to C-bid for display on this site. I will also suggest that one cannot enter into this forum without getting past my thesis on overbidding. This way even a monkey with a tin cup will know not do dip his toe in this pool. Now let’s get back to the fundamental issues like “how our dogs eat their crap when they were puppies.” You have got to love this place!!!

Ok first of all its Abennett not abernett, get it right. Secondly who made you God of the forum? This is my forum also and I will bitch about whatever the hell I want to. As far as your thesis goes It would make as much sense for you to write a thesis on overbidding as it does the Taliban Education minister having no formal education. BTW, be on the lookout for my next post on overbidding soon, (as soon as I can get my damn v cutter working)

HEY, does anyone like this place? Then APPLAUD the overbidders! They keep this place in business! PATIENCE is the key here; you'll find that lot soon enough that you consider a good deal. Last time I checked, cigar makers are still making cigars, and cigarbid is still selling them. Who out there has 0 cigars in their humidor? Your time will come.

Wrong! Overbidders do not know the difference btween wholesale and retail. If you like a cigar enough, you'll pay whatever is necessary to get it.

Abennett. Wany is just trying to get your goat. He's the master. He doesn't want anyone to know this, but he's really a good guy. Don't fall into the trap. LOL

Dear abby, I just saw this beautiful v-cutter on sale for $20. I really want to pay $25, what should I do? speaking of Dear Abby, where is the other one, Aberdeen? I enjoy reading his comments what happened? As for lady adelade, nice retort and don't feel picked on. I like to spark things up a bit when the fire is low.

First rounds on me.
P.S. V cutters suck. Stick with Xikar or Palio (the best).
