Although I know most of you are like me and just delete the spam that you get in your Inbox, this one caught my attention today and I was curious if anyone else received a message like this recently. If you have, post a reply here.

(Obviously, I dont suggest anyone do what this person asked. Just let me know if you get an e-mail like this.)

Yea, our IT department just sent out a notice. The actual subject and text changes; our message said it was an important organizational change and to open the password protected zip file.

The zip file makes it through our server filters because it cannot open the zip file since it’s password protected. In any case it’s a virus… according to our IT guys (and gals.)

The ISP that I work for has been plagued with it all morning. There are varients of the e-mail as well.

You can read more about it here:

This is hilarious. While I was reading this post, I received the email twice. Luckily, Norton 2003 Pro picked right up.

Well, I had a vague hunch and think someone's PC that frequents these boards may be infected. That is why I mentioned it. I was just wondering if anyone else was receiving the e-mails.

If you are tech savvy, check the Return-Path in the e-mail header and see if the address looks familiar to you.
