to look at where people are dumping their money into would almost tell you where this election will end up come November.. this is from Individual Donations given and brakes down by dollar amounts and then percentages...

Hmmmmm I think when someone gives this much in monatary amounts their not going to miss the polls come Tuesday in November....

Hey Russell,
Don't wanna bust your bubble, but I have never contributed, to any political candidate, but have never missed voting in an election. You are right, but look at the number of contributers, add them all up, for all candidates, and compare that number, with the number of people who voted in 2000. Just a drop, in the bucket. The majority of people, who vote, do not contribute. Those that have the money will contrbute, but those who do not contribute will be the ones who choose the president. The contributers are outnumbered.

er, however, i do have to say this -- the APPEARANCE that one candidate has much more support than another one *can* have a psychological influence. those voters who are undecided and don't look into the significance (or lack thereof) of the numbers often think, "well, looks like this guy's a shoo-in."

that can be either a poz or a neg for that candidate who appears to have much support. the undecided folk might think, "i'll vote anyway, so i'll just cast mine his way; he's going to win."

they might also see such numbers and think, "well, the guy's a shoo-in, so i don't have to bother going to the polls and casting my vote."
