A teacher in a small Vermont town asks her class how many of them are John Kerry fans.
Not really knowing what a John Kerry fan is, but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the kids raise their hands except one boy.
The teacher asks Johnny why he has decided to be different.
Johnny says, “I’m not a John Kerry fan.”
The teacher says, “Why aren’t you a John Kerry fan?”
Johnny says, “I’m a George Bush fan.”
The teacher asks why he’s a George Bush fan.
The boy says, “Well, my mom’s a George Bush fan and my dad’s a George Bush fan, so I’m a George Bush fan!”
The teacher is kind of angry, because this IS Vermont, so she asks,
“What if your mom was a moron and your dad was an idiot, what would
that make you?”
Johnny says, “That would make me a John Kerry fan.”

i don't understand why my father, who died before little w had his last DUI, has anything to do with this, but i must say you are acting more the gentleman then before.

no cursing at me and your spelling and grammer have improved.

if we agree or not, is not important. civil conversation however, is a much nicer way to have a dialoge.

You're gun-shy. Understandable with last weeks fiasco. Time to move on.

Don't worry about Rick. He gets that all the time. In fact, he half expects it. He's incited many a heated politcial "discussion" here with some tempers flaring. Yet through it all, he's still happy to call most of his political foes brothers and they the same in return.

a chauffeur drivin limo pulls up to one of the best hotels in vegas. the wife gets out and goes in side to register. she gets the best suite in the house and asks the concierge to have someone go to the car and pick up her husband and carry him to the suite. the concierge send someone to the car, carry's the man to the suite and sets him down in an easy chair.

as the man is leaving with his tip he asks the wife "can't your husband walk?"

she answers "of course, but we are rich so he doesn't have to."

Shawn, Rick may lean WAY towards the left, but he IS my favorite foil on this board. His opinions may not seem well thought out, and he posts some stuff we may find disrespectful or downright tacky, but he never resorts to name calling. He IS a BOTL!
