are you kidding me? during the course of a normal cigar exchange, BS encloses a piece of propaganda called "the american conservative." what gall, temerity, foolishness, irrationality, absurdity, craziness, daftness, illogicalness, nonsense, senselessness, not to mention postage.

"the american conservative" ? to ME, the arch bleeding heart, commie pinko, socialist, liberal, and as JonR, in his infinite wisdom, puts it,

"Yo tiny r: you are the king of personal attacks with your snide remarks, and about cursing, what was that remark you made about our government. What's with "we" might be able to listen", who is "we"? Do you think your a King and that God channels through you or was there a secret meeting and you were elected spokesidiot of C-Bid. Put your dolls away and try to act like the man you pretend to be and when you treat others with respect I will do the same to you. JonR"
(uncorrected for spelling, punctuation or grammer) and

"Yo Rick: I'm going to overlook that snide reply of yours and just chalk it up to the fact that you dropped a load in your Depends and had no spares to change. You see Rick I actually feel sorry for you, you can't even remember what you post. What's next, will you be handing out literature about Krishna. Rick don't blame yourself for becoming senile, **** happens...ooops but you already know that. JonR" (also uncorrected) and

"Yo rick: Looks like your getting your wish, you sick f**k. JonR " and last but not least

"Rickamaven = little r = Major J.O.. JonR".

i have dialogue every day with conservatives like him.

but i like BS and, and out of respect for him, i think it is worth reading this obvious piece of trash
propaganda because he wanted me to.

i have only read the first 10 pages, including an article by pat buchanan. i checked the cover
frequently to see if it was the correct magazine i was reading.

so why do the articles in this magazine make sense. they sound kind of liberal to me, take care of americans first. if you imigrate to this country, do what my grandfather and grandmother did, learn to be an american and assimilate. learn to speak english. learn the history of th country you have chosen to live in. you can remember the old country, but remember why you left it to come here. make something of yourself and don't expect to be given a handout.

there were a few references in the magazine to
little w, they call him the president or bush, but
they were critical of him and his policies.

as i said, i have dialogue with conservatives daily on this board, but they don't sound like the articles written by conservatives in BS's gift magazine to me. they don't use foul language, and they don't denigrate anyone. don't these authors read the conservative post on this board? then why don't they start acting like "real" conservatives like JonR. sorry to quote you JonR, but you are an excellent example.

the magazine says things like,

"george bush will be remembered as the president who bankrupted america." and

"president bush wisely chose a rhetorical strategy of attack-a smarter course, surely, then trying to explain why so many of the things he highlighted in his last state of the union turned out to be false." and

"2004, like every other year of the bush administration, is already a disappoinment for
conservatives."

what is going on? either some conservatives on this board act like fools, idiots, and foul mouthed,
children or this magazine is published by democrats to make believe conservatives have something to say that makes sense.

i am lost in the haze of confusion. i thought little w was the embodiment of conservatism. at least that's the message i get on this board.

mr bloodyspaniard, i can't thank you enough for messing with my mind. you sneaky little devil.

"El que invento la ley, invento la trampa".
Loosely translated: "There's more than one way to skin a cat".

I was beginning to think that the pages were adorning the bottom of "Gamine's" bird cage. More will be on the way.

With the exception of gay marriage, abortion, & possibly defense, Paleoconservatives (Pat Buchanan, Alan Keyes, the "young" Barry Goldwater) have more in common with guys on your side of the aisle, than we do with the Neocons (Dubya, Karl Rove, William Krystol) who think that Dubya craps marble.

To HELL with unending imperialism, NAFTA, lousy immigration policies, the United Nations, greedy (not necessarily evil) corporations, the CDC, larger Government, and more expensive Medicare programs.

Call me a racist, isolationist, Depend-wearing, America- hater, ehhrrrr whatever else you're often called, Rick. I don't care. Besides, this is a cigar site not Meet the Press.

Hope all is well & continue to fight the good fight.
Remember, "the unexamined life is not worth living" (Socrates).

am i being skinned without knowing it?

this more like steve alan's "meeting of the minds"

"a man, after examining his life and future, realized it was not worth living, so he took his own life." (anon)

sometimes it's best not to think.

Call me a Paleoconservative, too. The fact is that I really like talking with RICKAMAVEN. The main problem I have is the "any but dubya" position because Kerry scares the pee water out of me.

so do high blood pressure and diabetes, not to mention loss of hair and impotence.

blood pressure and diabetes can be controlled, but if you have half a head of hair, you become like a half shorn sampson.

What gorob said, this is a great place.
Rick and BloodSpaniard and Hog and Gtoman and all the other people I either agree with or not really make this place whole.

add me to the applause meter. i've got a lot of respect for rick and blood (btw, i like the new shortened version, my friend... i can see it now... "Don Blood!" starring antonio banderas as the tequila-pounding, cigar-chomping righter of wrongs and champion of justice! zorro was a poopyhead baby compared to... DON BLOOD! MAN... OF ACTION!") :D

ah, gents, i love it. carry on, carry on, carry on!

Cav- U R 2 Much!

Rick- you have always been my favorite foil on this board! I have said before, W isn't my ideal choice as a conservative leader, but at least he has appearances to keep up. Kerry HAS no appearances to keep up, as it's a matter of public record that his voting record is to the left of Sen. Kennedy !

Blood- Welcome to the fray! I have a feeling that we see eye to eye on many things! Bush leans a bit left for me, Pat Robertson, a bit right. Does that make me a centrist right-winger? LOL

HEY, I thought this was a private thread! Wot hoppen?

I so shy... Me no Shecky Greene. Me hairy man wif protruding forehead and dip feeelins! Feelins for Katel, butt dat other story... Hewwo Katel, I haf cawwot for ju--mebbee we hunt wabbit together?

I'm glad that after 30 years of being a lone cigar smoker, I found this site. You brothers are very kind. I hope that we have a herf in the DC area someday. We can get tipsy & sing cumbaya together in honor of Rick.

Rick, I'm also hoping that Pablo can take the baton from me. I think that he already took my wallet. Besides, he's the unbalanced, Latino reincarnation of Morton Downey, Jr.

I gotta go. I promised the Lord that I would return my brain in new condition or at least hardly used.

blood(thank you CW) don ramon(thank you Cavallo) bs(thank you?? Rick)

PS: Speaking of GTO, fudge, whatever happened to him? I think he was last seen walking into the forest, playing a pan flute with his half-pate pony tail flying in the wind. Cavallo must have pushed him over the edge. A half-brain is a terrible thing to waste.

PPS:OK, one more--"Cual es la diferencia entre un termometro y un termometro anal? El sabor lo dice todo."
Let that be a lesson to you.

By the way, CW, my dad was stationed at the naval base in the early sixties. He was a navy captain (physician) & I went to school on base before they tore it down.

PS: I wonder if the Oglethorpe (ship) is still around?

Blood, I seriously doubt it! Not too many 45 year old ships around. The Enterprise is getting there soon, and a few of the Tenders, but most every line warship is less than 30. I just decommed one that was 23! USS Deyo, DD-989 a Spruance-class destroyer.

It must have been over that thread of his, GTOs',that got pulled. I enjoy reading the banter, for the most part, though when someone, starts the namecalling, because they can't, or won't defend their position in the arguement, then I usually close the thread. Part of the reason, conservatrives, and liberals are coming together, is that W, has sold out the true conservatives, for the neocons, see facist. He is not to the left, but the extreme right. Father than a dedicated, freedom loving conservative can stand.
