i had to wait until their return before i could get into a discussion about malfi, the selfish psychiatrist.

i take you back to her rape. because she does not want to be like tony, she refuses to divulge that she has been raped and knows who the culprit is. she does not wish to be revenged. she did not report the employee of the month to the police, as many women don't. they chose to avoid all the embarrassement that will probably follow.

but,.... she had an opportunity to prevent the **** from raping any one else, without any embarrassement, and she chose to be "true to herself", neglecting the help she could have provided to some other women before they are raped by this same person.

any thoughts?

Personally Rick...I hate how her character has become a larger part of the show. She bores me. The plot bores me. I can only hope that this season returns to what used to make the show great.

I'm trying like all get out to acquire all 4 seasons. Out of them all...I still love season 1.

Ahhhhh.... Band of Brothers. Probably the most awesome mini-series ever. Got it the first day it was out on DVD.

I got Band of Brothers for Christmas while deployed in 2002-2003! Great viewing within spitting distance of a war about to start (about three weeks after I finished watching it!)

still haven't seen band of brothers. it's my #1 wanna see it show, though.

sopranos... loved the first season. had to let go of cable awhile back, though, so i'm lost now aside from just basically knowing who the shrink is and how she fits in.

. . Dr. Melfi knew all she had to do was say the word and that guy would be sleeping with the fishes . . but she did the "noble" thing and could not bring herself to hurt another human . .noble indeed, until the vermin she spared harms another perhaps in a more vicious way than he treated her . . how would the Melfi character deal with finding out that this guy raped and 'killed' a woman sometime after she was raped? I have to agree with you Rick -

yup. there are few things that would make me want to drop a dime on someone to, um, certain people in the "independent justice" business. rapists, though? fugeddabowdit. i'd drop the whole buck to every amico degli amici i could.
