I'm not sure how many Morrissey fans are on these boards, probably none. Anyways, I'm headed to Las Vegas tomorrow to see him play at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel.

Wrong person Rick, LOL. Morrissey was the front man for The Smiths in the early 80's. They were a british band.

Crap! I didn't... I had to google it ;)

I have to go dig out the Morrissey albums now and brush up. I still think that Morrisseys best stuff came when he was with the Smiths. Girlfriend in a Coma... good stuff!

Do you know this one? One of my personal favs...

Once always in for the kill
Now it’s too cold
And he feels too
Old

I was listening to "My early burgulary years", which has Boy Racer on it. So when I saw your post I skipped to that song.

Many of the current EMO groups have him, and The Smiths, as influences. Although, truth be told, I don't particularly care for his style of music or the current EMO stuff. But we sure do play enough of it at the radio station.

Rock on!

how was the show??? :)

i'm a big smiths fan -- all the 90's progressive/alternative stuff from siouxsie and the banshees to echo and the bunnymen to the specials to... well, you get the point.

hey, i heard yesterday on the radio that morrissey is going to revive and be the new front man for the NEW YORK DOLLS!

Uh Oh....

We are now gonna have to hear about Morrisey's Midgets, and how he was throwing them into the crowd like candy. Poor midgets.
Did you catch one, Long?

Was it really a Morrisey concert, or were you in Vegas to give moral support to your brother, William. LMAO!

Youda man Chone.....hope it was a blast!

What Choner doesn't want y'all to know is that he was really in his chicken suit helping Sigfreid and Roy with their new act. He also took in a Celine Dion show... :)

Boy I'm tired of being Wayne Newton's sidekick. And Celine can be a bitch at times.

The show was awesome!! Morrissey looks a bit old, but he still has a great voice. He sang alot of older stuff with his new stuff, and threw in a few Smiths songs in the mix. And a lot of cute goth girls at the concert too. But the midgets were crazy!

Smelly, my brother wanted to say thanks for buying all those copies of his new CD. She bangs!

Rob, its called rock n roll. It wasn't invented when you were a youth. Didn't you go to school with some dude named Beethoven or Mozart?

How about some Smiths: "Frankly Mr. Shankly, I'm an sickening wreck, I've got the twentieth century breathing down my neck, I must move fast, you understand me, I must go down in celluloid history, Mr. Shankly."

marla: alannis morrissette. :)

there's the morrissEY and then there's the morrissETTE.
or something.

now i'm thinking of incarnations of "how soon is now."

there was the dubious (though i liked it) tune by a band called soho (?) called "hippie chick" that used the HSIN hook in that tune. then there was the psychadelic furs frontman's newer band, love spit love. they did a pretty decent remake of it that was featured in one of those high school girls who are witches kind of movies... charmed?
