When the cigar burns too fast (or too slow) on one side, causing it to resenmble a canoe...Pain in the keister sometimes

Some people refer to it as tunneling or running.

I can't believe Rookie actually knows something about cigars. Canoeing is when is burns too fast down the side or three sides leaving one side untouched, resembling a canoe. tunneling is when it burns down the middle without so much as touching the outside of the cigar.
I made mention of this concerning the Santa Damiana 2000

Bite Me Ed..LOL...Tunneling IMHO is different than canoeing..Tunneling is when the middle (or center) of the cigar burns faster than the wrapper, causing a tunnel

I stand corrected, when you think about it it does make sense. Either way I think you can still safely call it running.

WAIT A MINUTE. Has anyone thought about what causes this??? You can have a great cigar with a horizontal moisture gradient causing one side to burn faster. In your humidor, you should turn your cigars over once a month to get a better moisture distribution within the cigars. This is not 'rocket science' we are doing. Capish???

I thought that canoeing was when you drop your cigar in the toilet, cuss, let it dry out and relight it.
Happy holidays everyone.

Just make sure that it's your cigar you pick up...
