Just read STL is going to release Warner after june 1. Is he worth much? Where do you think he'll go?

Kinda wish Dallas could swing him. How the hell Quincy Carter still has a job I don't know.

He'd fit in Seattle perfectly.

LOL@smelly. Just what you need with a suspect line. A QB who can't get away from the rush.

i don't know what he is worth, but the man has the patience of job. he works in a grocery store to support his family and he finally gets a chance to play with the big guys, but as a back up to trent green.

green gets hurt, and finally, warner finally get's his break and they end up in the super bowl. he becomes the mvp.

don't tell me how he can't avoid the rush or anything negative.

regardless of where he goes or what he does in the future, he proved he is a mensch.

He had some great years but watching him play his last few games he has plummeted in a hurry.

I think he will get picked up. He just needs a major confidence boost and a O line like the Rams had in his MVP seasons. He also has to prove he can throw the ball like he used to.

Agree w/Beat, he is all washed up. If anyone takes him, and someone will, he will finish his career as an overpaid back-up.

Warner was an incredible over acheiver who was blessed with a great OL and receivers in his heyday with the Lambs. But now its pretty clear that without that supporting cast, his talents are difficult to capitalize on. Perhaps he' be a good backup for the Skins or the Pokes. (NO way do we need him in Seattle... I'd rather keep Dilfer)

PS..... I love football in April!!!!

What does him working in a grocery store have to do with anything. He was in the right place at the right time and did do one heck of a job. But let's put the record straight, Green did one heck of a job in that offense before he got hurt and when he subbed for Warner. And Bulger has looked equal to Warner his is heyday. Warner is done! Can't move out of the pocket and frankly has lost his nerve! That will effect his ability to prove himself a leader at another club.

his working in a grocery store has nothing to do with his football skills. you may have missed my saying
"he works in a grocery store to support his family."

is he done? i don't know, nor does anyone else.
personally i hope not, and i'd like to see him again, dressed in uniform and winning.

bulger did a great job, and if martz had not turned chicken **** with that olaying for a tie, the rams might have gone on in the playoffs.

Warner will be missed most for his community service. The charities in St Louis will suffer more for this loss than any fan.

And least for that bitch he calls a wife.

Last time I checked football was a team sport. While it's nice to have a good QB to win Super Bowls it's not imperative. Montana vs. McMahon? Farve vs. Williams Theisman vs. Plunkett? Bledsoe vs. Johnson?

Warner showed that he has talent. He has to use it to get onboard with another team. I've heard he's going to Miami.

lol at Rick. Dallas will only pick up Warner if he's dirt cheap and he will be a backup. Right now Hensen is the man - we're looking well down the road - not just the next couple of years (thank you Parcell's). Word around here is that we (meaning the Cowboy's...even though I'm pretty sure I've never played for them...) have our eye on Vinnie. Also we just lost our future running back thanks to the almighty NFL...

Dr.Madd, please tell me that you are not comparing Montana to McMahon?

The teams that have won the Super Bowl without a top notch quarterback had outstanding defenses. You only need to score 14 if your defense only gives up 13.

Welcome to the thought...it's a team sport.

Yeah sure you can have a great QB like Elway, but can he really win games all by himself? Making the comparisons was legit.

No I in TEAM.

Dr.Madd, if you think a Montana-McMahon comparison is legit, you are truly madd!

No war, battle or game has even been won without a competent leader. In some cases the leader is on the other side of the ball as was the case when da Bears won the Super Bowl. Comparing McMahon to Montana is just plain ludicrous.

What's Warner Worth?

That's the question. If you'd take a look at how I answered the question you'd understand that it's a pretty rational comparison.

You could put any one person in the place of Elway(like I mentioned earlier), can he hike the ball to himself? Can he block all defensive linemen by himself? Can he run the passing routes and throw the ball to himself? Can he catch? Is he fast enough? Can he tackle? Can he match up size for size with an offensive tackle? Can he evade and cut? It's a team sport. I've said it, and you said it. What's Warner Worth? Whatever a team will pay him. You can bet that it won't be some teammates paying him! The comparison of qb's...where's Warner match up against them. If you want to compare teams then compare teams all day, but we're talking about Kurt Warner.

FWIW...I mad a ton of cash giving away points to the Pats fans. They thought I was crazy. By the half time...some where even paying up right then.

Yawn, yawn.

Back to polishing my 8 Fantasy Football Trophies in the last 11 years. I guess if I knew anything about football I would have been 11 for 11.

I wish only the best for Warner but think that he has well passed his prime.
