Just got my first bundle of Ashcroft. At the price I paid even if they suck they'll be good to have for moochers. I do hope they are decent. In their description they claim to be the same cigar as some famous brand. Does anybody know which brand?

yes, I made quite a fuss about these late this spring. I have been working on a box of torpedoes that have aged a year, and they are very nice, very similar to the regular line of 5 Vegas just not quite a flavorful, but a very cool and tasty smoke.

Just for the record, here is what CB said about the lot I bid on: "Aged, long-filler cigars made from premium Dominican & Nicaraguan leaves with a dark and moist Indonesian wrapper. This is the exact same cigar sold under a more famous brand name, the only difference is that these are unbanded. These cigars are full of flavor and provide a mellow smooth aroma. " Exact Same as WHAT?????

hold the phone! I retract! I was thinking Adolphus! not Ashcrofte, sorry! I didn't care too much for Ashcrofte's but the huge pig ass size will last me the time it takes to mow the lawn.

Rookie, these are not seconds. They are unbanded firsts. Read the CBid details. Also, I happen to like the 5 Vegas, and the Ashcroft Corona I smoked this morning was excellent.
