Just a thought here. The Por Larranga H2000 line of cigars is made by the same manufaturer in the same factory using the same materials as the Santa Damiana H2000 line. THey are available in the same sizes as well. Are they different blends, or just a different brand name?

Food for thought...

No problem Rickmaven, I am used to the abusive nature that a lot of the less mature people use on these cigar boards. Some people think because they have smoked a few cigars they are world experts and able to crap on anybody asking a question. But when people act like that it just shows their true lack of knowledge.

Happy Holidays,

Mike

MN-Mike,

On behalf of "the fellas", no harm intended, nor was any of that directed at you personally...what we were trying to say, is that no one here has any first hand information about your hypothesis, although, it IS an interesting point. In addition, we believe both mentioned cigars have been weighed and found wanting.

Sincerely,

JBG, Damage-Control.

I insulted you? Less mature? Can I put a question mark after every moronic thing you have said? I'll give you lack of knowledge wad boy, I was saying in short, to the point way so that the single brain celled smoker you are could understand is, I have had both and found them lacking in character and construction. Both have canoed on me and have an overly mild, simplistic flavor that leaves you wanting and should be left to dullards. Wait! Oh! I think that is you! Congratulations, you have found two cigars you can enjoy. Don't be such a crybaby, pay attention to what people are telling you, get some cahones, and buy 5 packs and see for yourself.

Wait a minute. Did you catch that Mr. Mean? Rickamaven called us riff raff. Then MN-Mike called us immature and lacking in knowledge. I'm deeply hurt.
Both of you are out of my will!! I'll have to find some other suckers to dump my Por Larranagas and Santa Damianas on. Someone born without taste buds.

Jack, you are an uneducated, rude, slacker, who can't tell the difference between a Santa Damiana and Por Larranga. I said LeyendO. This term should be interpreted as "Fake Leyenda". Rick loves em and I believe he has all of them.

Boy, how have I missed all of this fun? Leyandos(!?!) sounds like some kind of rare South American jungle bug or insect! Probably made from the skeletons of lizards or something of that nature! Rif Raff, whoa up, that is a little demeaning if I may say so! Well, enjoy and since I didn't bid on or smoke any of the Santa Daminas or Daminations or whatever, I do not have an opinion on them, but I will take Jack and Slims opinion to the bank! Oh, Ed, sorry, didn't mean to drop you off of the listing! Smoke better cigars guys! Charlie

Both Por Larranga and Santa Damiana ARE crap..Don't get your panties in a bunch Mike..As others has said, you asked for opinions, so we obliged...Just because you don't like the opinions being offered, don't jump on our asses because we don't smoke CRAP...IMHO, neither cigar lines has any real flavor at all...Too mild (like sucking air) for my tastes personally...If you don't agree with our opinions, then deal with it...That's life

Wow, great thread, and too bad it is dedicated to such "crappy" cigars! Don't think I would care to have either one of them for a day to day smoke! Mike smoke Padrons, LaGlorias,Partagas,Excaliburs and cigars like that and then get protective of your feelings! Happy New Year to all, Charlie

Some people simply can't take criticism I guess...If you enjoy smoking (again IMHO) crappy mild, unraveling, no-flavor, dogrocket cigars, then good for you...Taste is subjective....You may think that the flavorful, well-constructed, medium to full bodied premium cigars that I enjoy are crap...That's fine with me...I don't get offended if someone else disagrees with my opinion...That's what makes this world so great. ;)

yeah, reinforced the point on your head. You don't get it do you. Nobody really cares if you like crap cigars, we are merely giving you our opinions from past experiences, which is what you reqested. To turn around immediatly and insult everyone will force a reaction, which is what you recieved. It's obvious, you don't like what you here, even though there are experienced objectives being given. This makes you a moron. Smoke away on what we consider crap. After a couple, you will see what we mean. Be a man and admit it when you see that we are right. If you can't, then shut up and lurk.

rookie needs to keep bringing Anejo's and I will continue to be his friend. JK. I always enjoy a herf. It's a time when we can discuss cigars objectivley and openly without bedwetters crying over moronic misunderstandings. When is Dinc coming to town?

An informed opinion would have been appreciated. Instead what I got for bringing up a topic of discussion was a complete and thoughtless dismissal. I want to thank you for your well thought out review and discussion of these cigars. "Crap" puts you right up there with Mark Twain in his essays on cigars and tobacco. I was looking for a spirited discussion on weather these brands were indeed identical. Much like some of the Hoyo and Punch lines are supposed to be. But I guess that was hoping for too much. Mr. Mean you seem to have taken a inordinate amount of offense to my previous posts. Me thinks you doth protest to much...

I hope every body had a safe and happy holidays,

Mike

There's too much anger on cigar bb's. There's also a hell of a lot of sarcasm. Sometimes the two do not amount to the same thing. Sarcasm should not be taken to heart. Jeez, if it were, wanyburger would have killed us all by now ;)

Lighten up guys (all of us). You smoke cigars, you're not changing the world.

Opinions are just that, opinions. Let's not nutshell each other because of our opinions.

And MN_Mike , did you paraphrase Shakespeare's Othello or Hamlet? "Methinks he doth protest too much" didn't Iago say that? Or was it Ophelia? I can't remember...

Oh yeah. Mark Twain's essays on cigars were CRAP too. Mark Twain couldn't hold a candle to Samuel Clemens in the writing department.
The three greatest literary works of all time are: Homer's "The Odyssey", Tolstoy's "War and Peace" and Drew Carey's "Dirty Jokes and Beer".
Just my 2 euros worth.

LOL. Your rebuttal Mike is quaint in a self indulging way. Why would I (we) waste our time on the retrospect of two different kinds of crap? Goat crap? Sheep crap? Who cares! They are crap! The nuances of unraveling. The hint of peppered ammonia. The slint hint of acrid. That is what you would have gotten. If you are that anal about crap, I'm scared to see what happens when you start smoking good cigars.
