This morning my sister had a 9.5 pound, beautiful baby boy. I am soooo excited!

I have a new-found respect for anyone here with their own children. Just being in the room an hour after she had him, there was still a magical feeling in the air.

The Cohiba EL 2001 torp. that i was saving is gonna get toasted after dinner. I gifted her husband an 858 SGrown, and I hope he gets to enjoy it.

Just wanted to share my great day.
Happy Cinco de Mayo

Big boy to say the least. Doctors expected 7.5 to 8 pounds. I was gonna go get him some Snoopy golf clubs, but now it might be a football helmet and some pads.LOL! My sister also made it easy for Ol' Uncle Smelly to remember his B-Day....hehehehe, I am now in search of a baby sombrero. Cerveza's on the house!!!

Great idea with the Churchill-size....the Partagas Lusitania that RusselKaufmann sent me in our "TTT", and the Diamond Crown Maximus Double Corona that I got from DBGuru, will surely be toasted in his (Jonas Brimhall's) honor, at tomorrow's "Hensed comes to Seattle" herf.

That is big especially if that's the first. My last son was 9 lbs 13 oz - we are scared of the next one.

Congrats Dave,
On the other hand, I was 10 lbs 6 ounces, at birth, and was 5'7" and 120 lbs tops, my senior year of high school.
Is this your first nephew??? I have 4 nephews. Alot of fun. I get to watch them sometimes. I Love to pack them full of coca cola and chocolate and send them home to my sister. LOL
Have a great one. I'll fire up a RyJ EL 2001 Robusto, to help you celebrate.
Later
Dave (A.K.A. Homebrew)

just remember big babies does not automatically = big boys and vice versa. My oldest was 8' 11" at birth and is now 8 years old, 4' 9" and 105 lbs. He is too heavy to play football unless he goes up two years in age groups.

I have an Uncle that was over 10 lbs at birth and he is 5' 8" and about a buck twenty.

Sorry for the jack enjoy it bud and soon you'll have more.

8 feet 10 inches?!!! Wow! You're poor wife! How'd he shrink? Did you let him drink coffee at an early age or something?

He is my first nephew, and I am not sure how soon i want my own kids....so I will just spoil him rotten until then.

His dad's family is full of Judo Champions, and my family is a bunch of milk-drinkin country-folk....so I have a feeling he will be a thick kid.

Like Homebrew said.....I am gonna fill her kid with, candy, Slurpees, and all the good stuff. Wahoooooo!

This one almost got past me. Dave, that's how big my boy was 6 months ago, now he's as big as a horse @ 19lbs and looks just like his great grand farther.

Just wait until the mom says to you "What the hell were you thinking with that gift of football pads?!!!!"

WTG SmellySister! WTG!

Dave, please give her our congrats!

Well, since everyone is bragging 'bout their kid's birthweights, mine were 9lbs 3 0z and 8lbs 2 oz...I was just under 8lbs, and my hubby was nearly 11 lbs...but nowadays, I ain't talking about how much I weigh...fuggetaboutit...

UNCLES ROCK! And from the sound of it, you are gonna be one hell of an Unc...I can feel your smile all the way over here!

Ps...you might consider picking up a pack of diapers the next time you visit the sis and family...beleive me, a pack of diapers are ALWAYS welcome when you are a new parent...can't ever have enough of 'em...

:) Marla
