Well, gents, I'm looking for some opinions on 3 lines of cigars and 1 "toy":
1) gurkha
2) sinatra
3) astral
and, the "toy": the drawpoker.
Anyone have any comments??

Here's my opinions on couple of items.
Gurkha: Grossly overpriced. A pleasant, flavorful smoke but certainly not worth the double-digit price tag.
Sinatra: Mild and mellow. A pleasant cigar for reading the Sunday morning paper with some Columbian coffee. A bargain at current deeply discounted prices.
I haven't had a chance the try an Astral yet.
As for the Drawpoker, it looks like an intriquing toy. I'd like to try it on the Montecristos that need a vacuum pump to draw on them.

1) Gurhka - at that price, who cares?
2) Astral - certainly not my cup of tea (blech)
3) Sinatras - twice as bad as an Astral
4) Draw Poker - go out and buy a pack of bamboo ke-bab sticks. Just be careful to go straight.

I second Melski on the wooden ke-bab sticks...They work just as well as any drawpoker and cost much less...Sinatras: I never cared for them at all...Astral: same opinion...Rather mild and flavorless...Gurkhas: If you can get them at a good price, they are very enjoyable cigars...I haven't had a bad one yet...I like them a lot...(damn...I forgot what the other cigar you asked about...Shoot)

Don't listen to Rookie, he is really a retired woman who sells macrame on ebay. Sinatra, ugh. Astral, hit and miss on the maduros (only ones I've tried). Ghurka, a nice smoke but waaaaaay too pricey. I usually use a 2 1/2 inch sheetrock screw whenever there is a draw problem.

Thanx, guys. I've had some good luck with the opinions I've picked up on this forum. I've really got to admit that this site is becoming more than a little habit forming. Good thing that the price is right!
Last thing: I feel like I owe a good tip so here it is: if you haven't tried a Perdomo Reserve Cabinet Series do yourself a big favor and grab one. WOW, what a fine stick!!!

Guys, when you dis the Sinatra's, which ones are you referring to? I don't like the Sumatra wrapped ones, but the old CT Shades were a good mild smoke. And the My Way Torps are one of the best mild to medium smokes at Any Price.
