Greetings everyone. From the looks of things, it seems that about everyone is tired of the whole Drew Estate issue, so I am sorry to even bring this up. I have noticed that every now and then there is a Drew Estate 31 Cigar Combo/Chest being auctioned. Has anyone seen on of these or have any of you bought one? I am wondering if the chest serves as a humidor for the cigars it contains. And also, how many of those 31 cigars are those little baby twigs?
Thanks a lot, Fisher.

I asked the same question to the Drew Estate people and I was told that Drew Estate puts this together exclusively for CigarBid (Cigar Int'l). Yet, the rep wasn't sure of the exact breakdown of cigars. He said ask Cigars Int'l. for specifics. (I don't think the container is a humidor; but, a nice storage chest. I hope that helps.)

Hey, Rick, if you decide to actually do that, do all your friends a favor and post a picture on the site! This I've got to see! (PS. Did you take a pounding when the Pats surprised the world yesterday?) Paul

I wasn't surprised. Then again, I've been called "out of this world" before...

tailgator: can you remember the alien abduction you talked about at great length or did you forget again?

Rickamavan, Thanks.
I am officially confused. What is the purpose of having a nice display chest if you can't keep the cigars in it because the chest isn't a humidor?

fisher: and you should be confused. a humidor is a container that holds cigars in a controlled enviornment to maintain humidity. a display box is a humidor. a shoe box is a humidor. the $2,000 ele blue is a humidor. the question is do you want a piece of furniture or a humidor. you can have both. the most important is how well the enviornment inside is controlled. if the box you are looking at looks good to you, and the price is exceptable, the next question is how tight the lid fits. there should be an overlap on the edges of the box that the lid closes down on. now when you make your own humidifier (throw the junk that comes with the box) you have a humidor somewhere between a shoe box and an ele blue. i would opt for a smaller humidor 25 cigars so you will have room in the house for the next 5 or 6 you buy. if you need info re making a humidifier, i'm still at [email protected].

nope. Like to if the bid was below what I think is worthy. Bidding gets too high for making it worth my while. Remember, 5 or 6 "twigs" are in that exclusive sampler and I'd equate the total of the twigs to one cigar.
