I recieved a 5-pack in the mail yesterday, and one of the cigars had a perfect little beetle hole running down into it. I plan on just tossing out that cigar, but is it okay to put the other four cigars into my humidor? And do those cello wrappers keep beetles in/out of the cigars?

contact cbid and they will take care of your problem. if you find the beetle use the old double brick solution.

I would NOT put the other four in your humidor yet!! First, put them into the freezer (in the bag)for about 2 days. Then remove them and put them in the refrigerator for a day or two, then into your humidor. This will kill and beetle eggs that may be on the other cigars. As for the celephane, I thought it would keep the beetles out, but have heard cases where the beetles eat right through it!! Hope this helps! Happy smoking all!

Call customer service and they will take care of the problem, or toss the cigars, I would not risk any of the other cigars that I own to be exposed to tobacco beetles! Charlie

RICKAMAVEN: what's the double brick solution?

Also, doesn't the freezer and fridge dehydrate the cigars? If so, how long will it take them to rehydrate when placed back into the humidor?

Freezing will solve the problem, follow the freezing instructions above. Cigar beetles eat through celophane (1st hand experience) and just about anything else!!!! I'd return the cigar though since customer service is so good here.

LMAO! i'm guessing the double brick solution means laying your 5 pack on one brick and hitting it with the second brick!

Call Customer Service and they'll take care of you. RE: Beetles and freezing, do a search on these boards (use the "Search" function at the top of the page) and you'll find a plethora of information.
