The bombing results in Spain may have encouraged al qaeda, but I suspect it may have just the opposite affect.

BTW, MSNBC had an interesting link on that page de-bunking Michael Moors 911 file.

if it can be postponed, and there is not a civil uprising, perhaps permanently.

If I'm correct postponing the election whould require a Consititutional amendment, probably 50 state amendments and who knows how many municipality law changes. Give me a break, lets worry about something productive, like a Martian Invasion.

excuse the c & p

Justice was specifically asked to review a recent letter to Ridge from DeForest B. Soaries Jr., chairman of the newly created U.S. Election Assistance Commission. Soaries noted that, while a primary election in New York on September 11, 2001, was quickly suspended by that state's Board of Elections after the attacks that morning, "the federal government has no agency that has the statutory authority to cancel and reschedule a federal election." Soaries, a Bush appointee who two years ago was an unsuccessful GOP candidate for Congress, wants Ridge to seek emergency legislation from Congress empowering his agency to make such a call.

Yes, and a corpse could do a better job than the "corpse" that won that race!
