Trish! I beg you! Please create a Politics forum. I'm sick of wading through all this Bush/Kerry crap to get to something that has nothing to do with politics. Thanks for your time!

Yours,
Sheila.

I think a lot of people are going to other forums, or just don't go to the forum. This was near concensus at last weekends herf at the track.

Please?
That would be nice.
Nothing against political discussions, but it is often hard to distinguish between the political discussions and the regular misc discussions.
There is nothing worse than clicking on a discussion thinking it is one thing and when it comes up, DOH!!
Another one!!

Yo Trish:

I agree with Sheila, but lets not stop with just a political forum, here are some ideas:

1. A cello off or on forum

2. An overbidding forum

3. A dead horse whipping forum

4. A Slim slapping forum

5. A Heterosexual forum

6. A Homosexual forum

7. An alcohol forum

8. A non-alcohol forum

9. An XXX rated picture forum

10. A liberal forum ( crayon usage allowed )

11. A Conservative forum

And finally

12. A RICKAMAVEN forum

Forunately the Misc. forum isn't overrun by any of the above topics, but our more politically oriented members seem to have taken to disguising the topic of their frequent posts with seemingly innocuous subject headers.

I like the idea of a separate political forum, even if it only exists through the end of the year.

An "ignore" feature would be even better. Obsessive fanaticism is boring.

i agree the return of the political forum would be a wise choice. i hat to mix my political remarks on the same forum as my sports remarks.

I've just had enough of politics. I can't watch tv, read a newspaper or listen to the news without hearing someone else's opinion. I'm tired of it, and disgusted by it.

What would be wrong with having a political forum until after the elections? Either that or rename the Misc. forum the Politics forum, since that subject is 90% of the content.

New members coming to these forums must be intimidated by all the hot blood boiling in this forum. I know I was, that's why I lurked for so long, and still don't post on anything political. I just let everything slide and try and ignore it, but it's getting near impossible.

Yours,
Sheila
