I find that difficult to believe.
Please, I mean no offense. I strongly feel that gay people deserve the normalcy that a legal bond offers. I'm not convinced that it has to be identical to traditional marriage, but it should be equal.
If there are gaping loopholes with the current civil unions, then they should be remedied. There is no reason to redefine the historical significance of the institution of marriage.
In fact, before I was made aware that a device called civil unions even existed, I was FOR gay marriage.
I realize that there are two sides to every issue. unfortunately for the gay community, it seems that only the extremist wackos are the ones fighting for their cause. It does a disservice to their plight, and also strengthens the resolve for those that oppose them.
