I enjoy cigars - never had the $ to do it properly so I would buy a $3.95 'special' if and when I happened by a smoke shop.

I just found this site . . . my question:

Recommendations as to the absolute finest cigar available please?

I have a spreadsheet to inventory the recommendations so that I can rate them based on what those that knows advise - if I can't get them at this site is there another site where I can purchase outright?

Would like to pick up a couple on the 21st locally top allow a week to pass and collect the data from you. I will post the resuts then.

Thanks all,

mscooper... Welcome Aboard... sugestions check into the trades board with a newbie post over there...

good chance you'll get the Sheet bombed out of you by many B/SOTL

as far as recomendations from myself for a newbie... Padron (Any)..

this also depends on how your taste buds are and weather you prefer heavy bodied, mild to medium tastes... many differientials are involved and as you smoke more your taste or Pallat will build to different levels...

I prefer mild to medium myself but never rule out a heavy bodied cigar once in awhile...

lately I've enjoyed Puro's Indios... and again also Padrons...

CAO Crilios are also another one of my favs...

course I've got many favs that come and go and only last for a week or so and then ready to switch to something else... Variety.. and thats what CBid is all about... Hide your Wallet NOW!!! and also go ahead and purchase a cooler and read up on how to turn it into a coolerdor' LOL

Good Luck!!!

"The finest cigar available" is a very hard thing to pin down. Primarily, because the judgment of the quality and taste of a cigar is very subjective. Secondly, some would consider "available" as being able to go to a local cigar store and buy one. Others may consider "available" as obtaining the cigar at any cost or risk. That being said, I think that the above suggestions are a good start.

If I had to pick one cigar above all others it would be a Bolivar Gold Medal cigar from the Siglo XXI Humidor (~price of 1/2 million US). Of course it would still be unsmokeable for another ten to fifteen years.

As hog said, Padron.....any of them

Also, for $15-18 there are 5-packs galor on cbid that would go for $7-9 per stick in your local humi.

CAO Maddies are very hard to beat for around $18-20 a 5'er.
Oliva is good too.
