Aerosmith, Wing's Stadium, 1978.

Genesis, Wing's Stadium, 1978.

Both memorable for me. Goodness I long for the concerts of old. And mourn the fact that these ARE concerts of old. Seem like yesterday to me.

Fishbone w/ Maceo Parker as an opening act @ The Majestic in Detroit.

RHCP @ Clutch Cargos in Pontiac rehearsing their Californication tour in front of 200 lucky fans!

KISS @ Joe Louis on the Destroyer tour

Saw the reunion concert of Return To Forever, featuring Al Dimeola on guitar, Chick Corea on keyboards, Stanley Clarke on bass, and Lenny White on drums, in the early 80's. Absolutely the most incredible display of technical musicianship I have ever seen in my life. Their first song--not their first set, their first *song*--was 45 minutes. The entire audience was on their feet the whole time.

This again?

O.K., here are a few.

Allman Brothers - '94 at the Warfield, SF

AC-DC - around '90 at the Shorline, MT. View

Oingo Boingo - Halloween '89, Riverside Amphitheater

Pink Floyd - '94 Oakland Colliseum

All I can think of for now

Oops, the Boingo show was '88.

I should point out that they were probably better up close and personal at our Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium. That was probably around '90 or so.

I was at the Eagles concert in Kemper Arena, Kansas City and it believe it was '76...great concert! My favorite of all time would be Tina Turner concert at the Greeks in Hollywood!

sketcha,
Stevie was awsome. The bands cleared the stage and we got 45 minutes of 2 brothers playing from their hearts and souls. They even played the same guitar at the same time! It was something to see a man and his guitar bring a crowd to tears and then bring them back to ecstasy.

Bad Company. I saw God that night......could've been the drugs, but I'm pretty sure I was touched by a higher being.

America and Poco...Medford Oregon 1976.

Both bands were in top form.

Went with a buddy and his girlfriend, his brother and his girlfriend and a blind date.

I smoked my first (tobacco) cigarette.
I drank my first beer AND got to 3rd base for the first
time with a girl from Alaska named Alice.
We all went skinny dipping in the Illinois river at midnight

The overall night made the concert the best...more so the most memorable.

THis one is difficult but I would have to say
Pearl Jam San Jose Stadium November 1995
Bridge School Benefit Concert Shoreline Ampitheatre 1999 (the lineup was Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Lucinda Williams, Tom Waits, Neil Young, Sheryl Crow, Emmy Lou Harris, The Who, and Brian Wilson)
and last but not least...AC/DC 2002 Stiff Upper lip Tour..We had second row seats and were sitting right behind metallica. It was so loud that my body was shaking.

Right on with the Count! Did you ever see Sinatra? I only regret that I never got to see Frank in person! I own just about every one of his CD's........had a bunch of LP's and saved some for the album covers!

Some people just cannot be replaced! We have the Harry Connicks and Michael Boubles, but they are not Old Blue Eyes...

Charlie.

Never saw Sinatra in person either. He was definitely one of a kind. I've seen a number of the big bands, Benny Goodman, Les Brown, Basie, etc., but in their later years, '60s & '70s. They were still damn good though and thoroughly enjoyable.

Every Dead Show I ever went to.
Also High On The List
Phish, everytime I Saw them.
Widespread Panic, everytime I saw them.
Rush, Moving pictures tour.
String Cheese Incident, 2001 in Little Rock AR
Leftover Salmon, every show I have seen.
John Prine Little Rock Riverfest 2001 I think.
Blue Oyster Cult, way back in the 70s
Nazreth
Foghat
Ozzy Ozbourne
Iron Maiden
Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention 1969, my first concert, I was 5. My mother made my older sister take me, before she could go. My mother has since heard Zappa, and was appalled that she let my sister, much less me, go.
Kiss
Megadeath
Tool
Pink Floyd, every time I saw them.
Johnny Cash, both times I saw him.
BB King
Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, every time I have seen him, but the best was at Bonaroo music festival a few years ago.
I also see alot of local talent every week. I rarely hear any bad music, so every time I hear Good Live Music, It is the "Best Show", at least at the time.
Have a great day,
and SUPPORT LIVE MUSIC
Later

Steve I understand you are young
Please allow me to turn you on to some
fine fine music.
You have a job I envy
I've been around for a long time (I'm Old)
Send me your snailer
I'll send you some CD's from early-mid 70's
You might not prefer it
but I would like to turn you on to some
mighty good music.
If you don't like it
Throw it away.
I was at Cigarfest,
just trying to return a favor
I had a great time!

I forgot the Who's farewell tour in '82! But it was in the Astrodome, and the accoustics sucked, and since the farewell was only temporary, it wasn't what it was cracked up to be, but the linup was a killer! the Who, ZZTop, Billy Squier, and many others! I got to see Billy Squier in Corpus Cristi once after that and a band called Saga opened for him, and blew him away! He couldn't follow that! I suppose that's one reason that band dropped off the radar, they probably couldn't get any more dates opening, and weren't big enough yet to headline.

Bill. I appreciate the offer. I actually listen to a wide variety of music genres and eras. Currently, I've been listening to my hardcore, angry (lifting) music. But, there’s plenty of times when I need a good CCR or Jimi fix.

Oh, and Apocolyptica is the ultimate music to listen to when relaxing or driving with a cigar - Apocolyptica Plays Metallica - amazing.

As for returning the favor…no need. It was really our pleasure, and we thank you as well as everybody else who attended.

Muddy Waters, Ebbits' Field, Denver 1975.

A little hole in the wall club realy, not a "concert" I guess. I was one row from the back wall and one row from the stage. Stayed for both sets when the second show didn't sell out.

never made a Buffet concert, they have a tendency to sell out in like fifteen minutes around here, and I can't afford scalpers prices!
