I watch FNC all day long right up until 1-2 am everyday. If they are not significantly biased, there ain't a cow in Texas. Not only do they have a bias, they are biased by omition. Example; If there is a scandel involving a Dem (Gov McGreevy NJ, for example)they will play it all day long. If, on the other hand, it involves a Rep, you may never hear about it or at the bare minimun. Example; Tom Delay and the investigation in relation to his involvement in an industry in his domain that manufactures the gas additive MTBE. When Connecticut Governor John G. Rowland resigned due to a major scandel, barely a word was mentioned about it on FNC. It is so blatantly biased, it would be like listening to Rush L to get your news, "Fair and Balanced"! LOL, What a joke! Hitler would have been ecstactic to have such an organization dedicted to spin. Even the weatherman has political spin.
However, they are the National Inquirer of news channels. They are far more interesting to watch, spin or not, than CNN or the rest.

Funny, I felt the same way during the Clinton Administration watching CNN, and ANY broadcast media outlet!

I quit watching television, a couple of years ago. But I do find it interesting that the Bush administration, helped Murdock get the FCC regs changed so he could more dominate the Media, by owning more affiliates in a given region, without anti trust problems, so they could further their propaganda.

P.S. Television rots your brain, by getting you used to 30 second spots, that don't have time to give you more than one side of an issue.

I find it hilarious that America has about 10 liberally biased news networks but everybody cries about the one that isn't. Thank God for Fox news. If it weren't for Fox I wouldn't watch the news at all.

I think Fox News tilts to the right for sure. And the other umpteen news networks have always tilted left to far left. Interestingly enough, the Fox News morning show has been beating the stuffings out of the NBC-CBS-ABC morning tripe buffets for some time.

i don't bother with FOX or CNN either one. i hit up the AP site, Reuters and a handful of indy sites that seem to dish it up evenly. pretty much FOX and CNN both take AP stories and re-hash them to their own bias. might's well just read the original story before it's been politicized.

i am ticked about ol' murdoch though. we have/had a GREAT radio station here -- no political b.s. at all, just fine, fine music from blues to classic rock to bluegrass, etc. so what happens? it just got snapped up by murdoch (along with a dozen other decent local stations) to become what? talk radio. feh!

btw, maui... that means that, after murdoch, no more station with phil h. on it here *sigh*

I am with Maui and Hog on this as well, having spent a week in Toronto in the Marriot Bloor Yorkville, I watched CNN (only news channel other than Canadian) that was available to me.....I will only state that CNN is far left and Fox may be to the right but not as far out on the spectrum! I do watch MSNBC and it is not as left and liberal as CNN.

Thank God for Fox News!

Gee, A news outlet that may tilt right. It must be the end of the civilization the way some complain.

Watch for the true arrogance in this wherein many think Fox should be broken up, "it's too big". Like Disney or Viacom? Like the NYT? Never heard a bitch before there was competition.

As always, the good Liberal knows what's good for you and you need to be re-educated as you simply must be too stupid to decide for yourself, if you watch Fox. All other outlets are in bounds, Rush excepted.

The alphabet media and its sycophants are just upset that people have decided they're tired of being lied to on a daily basis. They don't see as it lying when the other side of the story is witheld. I watch Fox often enough to know the charges leveled are a lie. It "tilts" right because it offers more of the Conservative story, something seldom seen on CNN, etc.

Consequently, these dangerous propagandists must be stopped. People are too stupid to decide for themselves. The average guy just can't be trusted. Lenin and Stalin knew this, too.

I noticed that a lot of the sound bites they showed are pieced together and appear to cut off at convienent intervals to give the appearance of right wing slant. If the entire sound bite were to be given it would defeat their attack on Fox.Almost as if the sound bites were taken out of context.
Most of the sound bites appear to be taken from answers by the journalist in response to a guest question and not questions posed by them.

This trick could be done with any sound bites. Anyone ever see the HBO or TV land promos using bites of several shows to make an entertaining continuous dialog.
HBO even does it with video and not just sound
