Just as I suspected.

Mr. Flip-Flop lied about his "wounds", so as to be self-portrayed as a "war hero" for the express purpose of furthering his political career.

And on top of it, he defamed and demoralized his fellow soldiers with his lies about their alleged war atrocities.

Shame on you, Mr. Flip-Flop!!
