Paul Gallanti: “John Kerry gave the enemy for free what I, and many of my, uh, comrades in North Vietnam, in the prison camps, uh, took torture to avoid saying. It demoralized us.”

This is from the Swift Boat ads.

I'm sick of the whole ordeal. Kerry honored his Country by serving in the military.
Nobody can take that away from him.

He also, however, did everything in his power to demoralize our heros when he returned back home. Nobody can deny that.

I've been a distant onlooker to the swift boat claims and the "he said, she said" scenarios.

Until I heard the words quoted above.

I've not yet seen the ad these words came from, I've only heard them.

But they continue to ring deep.

President Bush avoided the war by serving our country in alternative ways. President Clinton dodged the draft and protested the War overseas.
But Kerry, the only one of the three to actually serve in direct combat, is also the only one to demoralize our heros directly. To make accusations of the soldiers themselves. To belittle their efforts with slander and propaganda.

And he wants to be the Commander in Chief.
