Has any one seen this or the original? What's your opinion on if and how it pertains to the upcomming election? This may have been posted before if so I do apologize.

terry heinz took john for a 4 week vacation to Manchuria, and when they returned he announced his bid for the Presidency. Hmmmmmm very interesting if not down right spooky.

The original is a great movie and is available in VHS and DVD....go to Blockbuster, you will not be disappointed! It runs on Turner Movie Classics and AMC from time to time!

What Charlie said. It's one of my all time favorites. Believe me, if you see the original, you will never view Angela Landsbury in the same light again.

I agree. Angela Lansbury in Manchurian Candidate is NOT the sweet little old lady from Murder She Wrote! She's downright scary in Manchurian Candidate!

Actually I did mention it.

Rick,
I know it is a write of fiction, but it's release comes at an almost too perfect of timing, don't you think. I mean there's several ways people may take this.
1. As a great write of fiction as we said.
2. That suddenly after all these years Kerry's men are starting to speak up about things happening different than previously said about his heroics during his tour in Vietnam. And maybe our future pres has alterior motives.
3. Republican money backs this film which would purposly bring about questions of a Dem nominee who's wartime records are suddenly shaky after Rep paid off soldiers have a change of story about incidents that happened 30 something years ago.

yeah, yeah I know I read into things too much. But if you think about it, it is quite funny. The timing and all. But yes I would love a copy of the original. email will be sent.
