A little worried about my cigars and UPS

I have been watching my last shipment move through UPS via their website. The last known location of my cigar shipment was the arrival scan at the North Bay Hub, CA on 3/11 at 5:06pm. It is now 3/13 4:40am and my packaged hasn't been scanned yet. Now usually it only takes a few hours to be rescanned and then departed for my local UPS facility. I do beleive it is in limbo and I hope it will resurface before my cigars dry out. Anyone with similar experience? Did UPS loose your package?

YoungNFoolish -- That's fairly typical of UPS. The usual UPS Ground shipping time from Pennsylvania (where CigarBid is located) and California is 5 business days. Since your order was shipped on the 7th, it is scheduled to arrive on the 14th. That's the standard delivery. No need to worry about it being lost.....yet! Just give us a call at Customer Service if you have any other questions.

Hey YoungN - don't sweat it - all UPS packages come with (automatic) $100.00 worth of insurance, additionally, customer service for CBid is absolutely incredible. My opinion is if UPS really did lose your package of cigars - Cbid will probably send you another order and then collect the $$ back from UPS. Also - call the terminal again and let them know that your cigars are supposed to be there. If they're loading the trucks when the delivery comes in it's not all that uncommon that the driver won't even scan the package. You'll probably get a UPS slip taped to your door this afternoon or tomorrow anyway.

Only UPS shipment problem I ever had was a box of business documents that sat in one of their trucks, which was stalled in flood waters. Fed Ex once delivered an empty map tube tapped at both ends. It was full of hand-drawn maps when we handed it to them two days earlier. They never found the maps.

I once sent a guitar to a guy UPS. I live in WI and he lived in Cali. Anyway, the UPS tracker indicated that the guitar went to Chicago and never moved. Well, about a week later the guy received the guitar even though according to the tracking number it was still in Chicago. So I think sometimes they just forget to scan the package.

I know the UPS guy "THROWS" my packages on my porch. among other signs, my neighbors tell me. LOL
Other than that, no probs w/ UPS. Now the USPS is another story. Especially in FLORIDA!

Talk to your local UPS people. Usually they'll go out of their way to help. I have my sticks delivered to my office and one time the driver showed up after 5 and I was gone. I called the terminal next day(in Buffalo the humidity can destroy sticks in no time at all) and the guy changed his route and met me 10 minutes after I called. He earned a free stick for that one. Forget the USPS unless you don't care what condition your sticks arrive in.

Well the UPS website shows that my shipment hasn't been scanned yet so I called UPS. The nice lady on the phone told me that my package is scheduled to arrive tomarrow. It still is on its way even if the package wasn't scanned according to her. We will see tomarrow.

My cigars were shipped by UPS a few weeks back and when I tracked them, they Sat in their warehouse 10 miles from my house for 2 days before being delivered.

I had a shipment set in a sorting center 3 hours away from me for 2 days just because the scheduled delivery was on that day. And they have trucks coming from there everyday. Hmm, ORV

Neophyte here. How do you track via UPS once you've won a lot at cbid and are awaiting cigars? Where to you find the tracking number? Thanks.

Just figured out tracking. My cigars left PA 3/11 and are arriving today, in Calif. Pretty fast if you ask me. I'm impressed, and Trish is GREAT!!!!
