I’m sure most of us have heard of this barbaric act by Chechnyan rebels (terrorists.) Russia has now engaged the U.N. to try and resolve this issue...

Now for all of you who believe the U.N. is the answer to all of our prayers, watch how ineffective they are in resolving this. Kofi Annan has done the 'brave' act of demanding their immediate release, but let’s see what happens beyond that simple statement.

In any case, I pray that at the very least the children make it out alive and unhurt. God bless the soldiers who will have to eventually kick that door.

I know this is a threadjack, but on the subject of Sudan, the Nigerian Parliament has authorized 1,500 troops. The problem is transportation. Once again the U.S.A. will come to the rescue with airplanes and fuel.

Very interesting. I am surprised they asked for UN help now they will see how useless the UN is.

I vote the UN rotates hosts instead of living in New York. Let em go stay in Russia or some of the 3rd world countries who need them.

I read the whole article last night on Fox News.. they've got something like 350 hostiges....didn;t say how many terrorists??

looks as though this will draw Russia into an all out war on Terror also??

Funny thing the Chechen (spelling) government had 1000's of soldiers and equipment in Kuwait when I was stationed over there....

Bad thing about Forign policy is you don't know who the good guy's are by tomorrow...

Well it appears this didn't end well... and in fact it looks like it still hasn't ended. Death toll appears to be around 150... and this is a school! Can anyone not agree that this is Evil?

For all of you Liberals, the damn United Nations is a joke! They will keep issuing statements and it is all bark and no bite!

God Help those kids and their families, cause the UN will not!

"all-out war" by terrorists after more than 340 people - nearly half of them children - were killed in a hostage-taking at a southern school.
