All of you liberals out there are really dropping the ball. President Bush has now let TWO hurricanes hit FL. Why are you not really upset about this?

Shame on him, right?

Yo AVB:

The way kerry keeps screwing up his campaign, GW could stay on vacation until November 2nd and still win the election.

I smoked an AF Anejo #77 while the eye of Hurricane Francis passed over my house.

That's cool, Hockey.

How long did the calm last?

Did you fair O.K.?

I hope to hell that Ivan turns the other way or just blasts Cuba and gets down graded because of blasting Cuba!

We had about three hours of calm because the hurricane was moving so slow and was downgrading to a tropical storm just as it hit Tampa. My son thought it was over....boy was he wrong! Once the eye passed we got about another 8 hours of absolute pounding from the opposite direction.

We're fine in the grand scheme of things. We lost power for 36 hours, my tangerine and lemon trees are laying on the ground, and I've got some broken oak branches. No structural damage.

We really can't afford a hit by Hurricane Ivan right now anywhere in the state. I work with electric utilities including many in Florida and the crews are stretched way beyond capacity....even with the thousands of crews that have come in from out of state. The damage covers pretty much the whole state. TV doesn't do it justice.

My Sister who is in Ocoee/Orlando area said the rental places are renting out Generators at $200.00 a week....
that highway robbery!!!

they only lost power briefly while the rest of the folks were out for about what Hockydad said...

I hope Ivan doesn't hit anywhere or pack anything of a punch in any way...
