Greetings. I am just wondering how often you all smoke a cigar and if you have any particular time of day you smoke or if there is any type of ritual you follow before/while smoking it.
Personally, I usually smoke about 3 cigars a week, and I usually smoke them in the late evening. I find them to be a very relaxing way to finish up the day. I almost always smoke outside sitting on the porch and looking at the stars. I live in the mountains of West Virginia so lately I have been freezing my butt off, but the night sky is amazing.

I smoke cigars at different times of the day, always in the late afternoon 4 PM to 6PM time frame. Sometimes in the morning and on weekends, several times during the day! I am addicted to cigars! My name is Charlie and I am a cigarholic! Charlie

Because I'm trying real hard to quit my 10 stick-a-day habit, I avoiding all cultural, social, physical, environmental, anthropological, temporal and financial clues and rituals that trigger the need to clip and light up...gee, I think I smell...gotta go now.

one or two-a-day...ride home after work...breaks from honey-dos...mostly evenings.

Son's got a friend at Jesuit in Wheeling...

Morning, noon and night. Coffee 1 stick, ride to work 1 stick, after lunch 1 stick, ride home 1 stick, honey do's (in the yard) 1 stick, by the pool after dinner 1 stick (its good to live in south Florida) so thats 6... or 7 it depends on the day....

Regards,
Rob

Hey Fisher..... W.Va is very beautiful! I have relatives in Monongah right outside Fairmont. I remember summer nights there to be the most peaceful sleep I've ever had. It really is God's country!

when I work the dog, I practice commands and train her with a whistle. I also simulate hunting situations such as retrieving and tracking. maybe I shouldn't say working the dog. doesn't sound so good.

remember, "cigars, the're not just for breakfast any more"
first one with cuppacciano when i wake up. last one just before going to sleep. during the day always a cigar in my mouth. how many? depends on how long i stay awake and the size of the cigars. when we go to vegas for two weeks, a couple of hundred plus at least 2 unopened boxes in case we stay 15 days.

About 5 or 6 a week. Always several on the golf course. I enjoy them while wading through the poison ivey looking for my ball. Late evening ouside on the porch. Any time I have a strong cup of coffee to go with it. And always at the sports bar.

I used to do smokeless tobacco. Had a chew in all day. I tend to be a bit obsessive. I quit the chew and took up cigars. I allow myself one a day. I don't always get it in as I am particular about interuptions. I enjoy cigars very much and could easily be like the Rickamaven smoking them nonstop. A man needs to control his appetites.

Trying to go to more quality and less quantity, but like Rick, if my eyes are open I have one lit.

be carefull with clovecigars the have a substance in them which makes your throat numm, otherwise they would be to strong to smoke, and also they give internal bleeding, i smoked them for years until i researched them on the internet,so just search for clove cigars and you see what comes up on the net! Amen

Keep it down to 4 per week. Quit smoking cigaretes three years ago and I just won't let myself become hooked on tobacco like that again.

5-7 a week. Usually at night in the sun porch after dinner with a Guinness or a coffee. On weekends all bets are off. If I'm home I'll have one in the morning with the paper and usually have a couple more before dinner.

Well... No. But I wouldn't want to smoke in the living room either. Somehow it doesn't appeal to me.

Sometimes I smoke in the basement when me and the missus are having a game of darts. Goes well together with a few brews and a cigar. I have an OK room in my basement with leather coutches (sp?) and a stereo.

Average 4-5 week. After dinner on days I work days. After lunch on days I work nights. Whenever I feel like on days off. My throat likes me to skip a day or two a week. I never smoke inside and didnt even before I got married. I love the smell of fresh cigar smoke. But I hate the smell of old cigar smoke, especially on towels, drapes, bathrobes, hair, cockerspaniels, etc.

... never really kept track of how many ... I focus instead on 'quality' in lieu of 'quantity' ... then again, every time I quietly let loose a fart at work, my co-workers look around to see who just lit up a cigar inside the building .... ain't that just the damndest thing ...

Rick, I believe Ed is just giving Leif a hard time -- he knows where Leif's from. He ain't no "Mr. Nice" ya know. (There, hopefully this post has found the right thread -- I somehow posted this note on the wrong thread earlier!) I'm losing it.

Mr. Mean must also be a "foreigner" (whatever that means) seeing as he's lost the ability to spell correctly as well. "corralation"???

Very astute observation justforfun. If I insult Leif, and Rick gets offended, what does that make Rick? That's right boys and girls, a bleeding heart liberal with an eye toward favoring special interest groups. Leif knows I'm just messing with him. And you know I'm just messing with you.

Mr. Mean: Speaking of atrocious spelling, I note in another thread that you've reffered to the fact that cbid as very "accomodating." Mr. Webster would truly be ashamed of you now, wouldn't he. Just messing with you, and your questionable spelling. Signed: a member of the John Birch society of Orange County (you may have to look this one up).
