this past Tuesday my wife had taken the Truck to work.. the guy who does detailing at the car dealership she works for was going to detail it... well Sunday night after Church we both spent the evening cleaning out all the extra things in the Truck.. I took my 3 cd cases inside along with road maps etc... I then tucked my bible the kids bible and her's under my arm.. and she speaks up and say's leave them their fine... nobody will steal a bible.... so I tucked them back where they usually ride in the truck and finished cleaning out my side of the truck... Monday turned out to be a busy day so the truck was on hold until Tuesday... Tuesday she drives one of the lot vehicles home for lunch because the Truck is finally being cleaned... Tuesday evening she gets home and drags me out the door to see how good of Job this man did on the truck... she had a shopping sack full of things he found under the seats and in the councils... on the passanger side in the back, where I was viewing I noticed the kids and my Bible laying in the back... I took mine out and tucked it up front where I keep it and then tucked the kids under the seat where she kept her's... I did not think for a minute about the Wife's because she is always toting it in and out of the house... Wednsday comes around and we miss church because the Daughter is a cheerleader and it's game night Football.... So then comes Thursday.. thats today... Wife has a Joyce Meyers Lady's Convention to attend... so she was packing and getting things in order.. and asked me to head out to the truck and retrieve her Bible there was something she wanted out of it... (now her Bible has a leather zipper cover over it, the other two bibles do not) Kinda looks like a cd case in away... well I venture out there and cannot find it anywhere.. I tell her the news.. she checks for herself.. nope.. we search the house "Everywhere" No Bible... so now we're tracing back all the events of the week... she recalls that on Monday a new guy started work in the detail shop working with Harry.. the longtime detail man in charge... on Tuesday evening when he came in and clocked out he also quit the Job that evening... I explained to the wife that her Bible was not in the truck Tuesday evening when she drug me out the door to view the job Harry had done on the truck... Yes it was.. no it wasn't da da da da... push come to shove I said look.. call down to the shop and ask Harry if he might have set it out of the truck for some reason?? she called and he said No he remembers seeing them and they had talked about it briefly.. she recalls that conversation and got off the phone with him.. she was torn up over this because this Bible was sentamental to her.. her Uncle passed away the day I was returning from my oversea's deployment and before he had passed away he told her he wanted her to have his Bible( a Keepsake) So I said look maybe just maybe this kid who quit had taken it thinking it was cd's.. and maybe he tossed it in the trash after finding out it wasn't... lets head down to the shop and look around for ourselves and you can talk with Harry about it again.. so we headed down there.. I searched the trash cans and she spoke with Harry.. harry did recall the kid hanging out and talking with him while he was working on our truck.. and he recalled the Bibles being in the seat and where he had put them back in there location (back seat) but he don't remember after finishing the truck if they were all there?
So we left there feeling a total loss... not to give up we went down to the detail shop this kid supposidly took new employment.. I told the wife I would wait in the truck because I wasn't feeling to Christian like at this time... so she went inside and asked to speak with him... he had left early today so no chance... another dead end... well we came home she finished packing and was really wanting to call off the whole thing.. she'd been waiting Months for this event.. I said No your going no if's and or buts about it... somehow it will turn up... she was in tears and I could feel her anguish.. after she hit the road I did some calling around to speak with the owner of the other detail shop and let them know what had happened just a few days prior and the whole ordeal.. I explained I did not care about repercussions if by chance this boy took the bible thinking it was cd's all we wanted was the bible back.. I had told the wife to just pray about the whole thing it would all work out... well tuesday night at the Church one of the wife's friends husband went to speak with the pastor.. while he was inside.. Somehow someone.. had stopped by the parking lot and tossed a bible in a cover out laying right by his car door.. so when he ventured back outside to get in his car... there was this bible in a case laying right by his drivers door... my wife did not find any of this out until just awhile ago because she was talking with the lady's she went to this convention with and this woman spoke up and said I'll bet thats the bible her husband had found laying by his car door the other evening...
one thing the wife said to me when I had all 3 bibles in my hand was going to place them in the house for safe keeping... "Nobody's going to steal a Bible" I said back to her.. I don't want to test it!!!!
inside my wifes bible are the Church Flyers she keeps after each Sundays services... she is thinking this whoever must have seen these and had such a conviction put upon them that they dropped it off in the parking lot rather then try and return it to her work area???
All I can think is this person is going through a whole lotta Turmoil if that be the case!!!
