"The Coz" speaks with "uncommon" common sense, one of the very few among today's "black leadership", about the cancer that affects the Aferican-American community.

Perhaps all you liberals out there, and your Pathetic Democratic Party, should learn a thing or 2 from Mr. Cosby, instead of constantly dispensing your class-warfare drivel.

Alas, common sense doesn't prevail in their communities! Recent polling data shows that 80% of them will vote for ANY democrat. Why they feel that the republicans don't have their better interests at heart and in practice is beyond me.

They hated Reagan, but yet he assisited the urban communities.

They hate Bush 43, but yet home ownership and small businesses are flourshing for their communities.

Do they hate Lincoln too? Do they hate the republican house for voting for civil rights when the "dixie-crats" weren't?

Cosby,Watts,Armstrong,Keyes and any other black leader that steps forward out of the NAACP limelight is branded a "Uncle Tom" or "House Ni@@er" by their same race! It's appaling that the race card still holds trump over the minds and fears of a race that has profited so much! Will they be so gracious when the white race is a minority?

What more could be given to them to make them happy, content and willing to finally drop the bull$hit of racism. It's okay to have the NAACP, but yet it's not okay to have National Association of Advancement of White People. The name alone lends itself to exclusivity and not a collective human banner. It's ok to have the United Negro College Fund, but yet if you trotted out the Anglo-Saxon College Fund the ACLU would rip it to shreds in a courtroom! Miss America isn't good enough...they have to have a Miss Black America, nevermind that several black women have won the title of Miss America. I could just see if they tried a Miss Non-Colored America! No, the common sense you speak of is non-exisitent because you can never make up for the wrongs that have been committed against their race. It's been hammered into their skulls and is now a part of their DNA! Even if you gave them repairations...it wouldn't be enough. Gimmie, gimmie, gimmie...I need more. Nevermind that we have to find our own Pursuit of Happiness at our own expense! No, we'll even go so far as to lower academic standards to get more over the hurdle of colegiate education, we'll lower testing standards to employ people that aren't good enough to pass the muster but melatonin will pull them up and over! We'll even go so far as to allow certain businesses an unfair advantage to work that it puts others out of a job, but yet they want more.

I can understand and cheer Cosby for wanting to wipe the eye winkies out of his brothers eyes but look at the condemnation that was heaped on his back for saying it! Don't misunderstand this as a racial slur either. I'm not wired like that. I'm merely stating that there are bigger problems that need to be ironed out in America for us to go forward than Purple Hearts and ANG records!

When we as a nation can finally reconcile this issue we will become great. The petty back-biting should be dropped in the view of the "Big Picture" that most are willing to claim poor eyesight to.

DMV, let's not lose perspective. We ARE a great country! If we weren't there wouldn'tbe so many people trying to come here (legally and illeagally). People like Alec Baldwin would keep their word and leave if they REALLY thought thinks were so bad. Our focus should be on getting everyone to ignore the reactionary, anti-social views that are growing less and less, and let them die out. Most everyone realizes that the only difference between races is the color of the skin, the set of eyes, and other very superficial differences. I beleive the majority of the racist attitudes are being held in place by programs like affirmative action. These programs helped get minorities' foot in the door, and prove that they are as capable as anyone, but it's time to let them stand on their own, unassisted. None of the foregoing has decreased our standing as a "Great Nation". On the contrary, most countries wouldn't even TRY to change or improve in these areas! NEVER make the misake of losing the distinction between "being Great" and working on being even better!
