regardless of who says what.

regardless of who speaks the truth.

regardless of who knows his ass from a hole in the ground.

regardless of the facts of the debate.

george w bush will be considered the winner by most media and most of the posters here.

he will go on to win the 2004 election.

i will start posting more funky pictures of my porch which now has two wind spinners.

the misc board will become a sports board for the most part and few people will bother posting or reading it.

there will be more pictures of semi-naked women and gonz may even loosen his reins and let soft core porno on the site, just to keep it going.

the light at the end of the tunnel, will not be a new beginning, but a death knell.

just when i gave up "bad frogs."

Rickamaven,

Good predictions.

I predict that 2008 will be even more fun with Hillary running.

I can't wait to see who the republican candidate will be in 4 years.

I predict that Bush will win

I predict that there will still be enough going on in the world for us to continue to argue about.

Shut up Pablo or I'll bring a couple of friends up there & we'll eat/drink/smoke you out of house & home.
LOL

Someone should resurrect this thread after the election. We'll see who eats crow (no, not Crowe).

I think it's a joke that some even thought he could win!

Dean was a more "credible" candidate than either one of the 2 toilets running on the ticket now....Yeeeeeeahhhhh!

I predict that Terri Kerry will say the debates were fixed if John f Kerry makes a poor showing! And then she will say, "f--- the people who are against John"!

Rick, most of us enjoy spirited discussion on a majority of topics. This does not need to turn into a sports or soft porn discussion if we do not let it. What would prevent that is allowing open honest exchange. Posting one's opinion should not be confused with blatant, ridiculous, one sided statements. That, along with not blasting others who do not agree with you.

I must admit that most of your posts on the misc. board do not encourage dialogue as much as they are your monologue. Just my two cents.

I thought that Bill Mahar said it best last evening on Hardball. "When was the last time you stepped into the voting booth and were giddy about a candidate?" Once again we are handed the task of voting for the lesser of two evils. You just need to decide to which evil you will lean. The one that may have led us into war under false pretenses and is at least willing to back his decision. Or the one that changes position with the wind, crowd or PAC. Personally, I have my opinions but also respect others even if I do not agree.

Good luck!

Yo Rick:

Here are some of my predictions:

1) I predict: kerry/edwards will win the election.

2) I predict: john kerry will quit flip/flopping.

3) I predict: ted kennedy will quit drinking and leave the senate and become a lifeguard.

4) I predict: the kennedy clan will give up drinking, drugs, raping and murdering, and become upright citizens.

5) I predict: terry kerry heinz will learn to speak more compassionately and with less vulgarities.

6) I predict: RICKAMAVEN will become a conservative and idolize GWB. I also predict that RICKAMAVEN will become religious and join the Harri Krisnas.

7) And finally I predict that all my predictions will never come to pass.

that was a very nice and pleasant post.

my posts in fact are monolouges designed to provoke and i think i have a bit of sucess doing that.

bill mahr is correct. i like and liked truman, carter, and jack kennedy all for different reasons.

kerry? who knows. i don't have a clue about him or anything he says. he is another politician. on the other hand bush is a scroundrel. nadar is past his prime and should go fishing or do what i do, sit in the yard and listen to books on tape and watch the birds.

from what i understand the dicking around about the height of the lecterns heights does show a certain short man complex on bush's part, something i am familiar with. from what i understand, the questions have already been suggested to the two "candidates."
they might as well have cue cards. i think in an open debate, kerry is quicker and bush is slower and kerry could make him look like a fool, so like a race horse, they have been weighted accordingly.

i'll watch the debate, and, like watching an auto race, look for the accident, but they will both have training wheels and drive slowly, so i don't expect much excitement.

but don't knock soft core porn, it's a start.

LOL,

Thank you for your response Rick. Even though I think you may be surprised at what may happen at a true open forum debate. Many experts say that is where Bush is at his prime and when he is the most relazed. Kerry has to habit of answering too quickly and then not shutting up. It will be curious tonight to see if Kerry continues to try to squeeze 1000 words into one minute.

Thanks for the exchange.
