i bought this book that the bush family sought to suppress looking for more dirt about w.

very strange, half way through the book i find i like the guy. the half i have read deals with his father first and his quest to make a living in the oil business. then it talks about w as a child and takes us, me anyway, through his college and his trying to start a business much like his dad.

so far it has taken me through his helping his father win the election to become president. it describes the "dirty trick" he did and i don't see a problem with that at all. he was the enforcer, the guy that called newspapers that published articles that were negative about his father and he raised hell with them. sounds good to me.

seems he has up to the point i am in the book, a sense of people and that was already demonstrated during his college days. he was well liked by everyone. he was acclaimed president of his fraternity without an election, because he was so well liked.

all the stuff about chasing women, drinking, and generally partying seems perfectly normal to me.

as i get into his business dealings and his politics, most of which i know from what i have read, it doesn't seem as evil as it did. the problem you bush people have is that you don't accept the fact that he did a lot of "shady" things so you have to make believe he is pure as the driven snow. most of the snow
i remember had a lot of street dirt on it.

when i posted "WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF THIS?" with this web site

it appears only HockeyDad was interested in looking at it. the rest of you are diinterested or prejudged.

in answer to your question HockeyDad, the first debate for governer does match the book i am reading. a guy who has something to say, and whether i believe it or not is not important, he can deliver his message, as they say, loud and clear. i can see his skills getting money from people to finance business advetures. he looks like and must have been a formidable money raiser. of course it is BS that the fact that his father was president didn't have any affect on his raising money, but if he approached the same people as he is now, they probably would not have wanted to invest with him.

now he looks like a bumbling fool most of the time.
the second half videos do in fact show a strange difference in his ability to communicate.

if in fact he has a medical problem, his handlers are what they are anyway, a bunch cowards and just plain stupid fools with power that they are using for their own selfish reason. if he has a medical problem, he should not be the guy with his finger on the button.

all of that having been said, i still don't approve of his politics and hope for the sake of the country he does not win the election, so we can clean rumsfield, rove and cheany, and whatever the hell her name is that has a boat named after her, out of the kitchen. if you see one cockaroach, the rest are just hiding until dark.

if anyone wants to respond that has not seen the video and/or believes bush has led an unblemished business life, step up and display your ignorance.

WHEN, Rick have I EVER implied that?

Rick, I tried to look at that this very evening, about half an hour ago. I'm on duty and got a message that I was unable to download the appropriate covversion whosiswhatsit (probably because I'm on a DoD server, an am limited in what I can access due to security concerns)
I guess YOU are disinterested AND prejudiced to keep harping on the "all Bush supporters are blind/ignorant/have their heads stuck in the sand/ect" when MOST of us say he is NOT all that, but Kerry makes him look like a Founding Father! I have stated NUMEROUS times that I do NOT agree with the Patriot Act, the tougher stance on Cuba, or several other policies, but I don't use one single issue (except the Second Amendment) to determine whether a candidate is acceptable or not. Very darn few of them (none come to mind) would pass muster if I wanted to find someone who agreed with me on every issue! I thought it was the right-wing, neo-conservative, redneck, Republicans who were guilty of stereotyping, and profiling!

That's average, accuse the other side of what you are doing! that seems to be the new Liberal Agenda!

It'll never matter how much we might say we disagree with anything related to President Bush. To some of the people here just that fact that we respond to their repeated whining and moaning means we can find no fault in him. And they claim we're the one's who are closed minded. Ok...

you have a brain and you use it. you are not the stereotype right wing nut case that posts. we agree on many things and disagree on many others. i know when i generalize about the right wing folks there are many exceptions, but part of why i am here posting is to raise hackels and i seem to be successful. look at some of the dimwitted answers to my taunts.
